The tranquility of the hotel and the town! The view also was very nice!

The smell of the room was funny.

The hotel was very convenient for the motorway. We had a very warm welcome from the lovely Portuguese lady. She was very "can do" and checked us in early. We had an enjoyable lunch.

The place just felt down on it's luck. There was no sign or mention of the pool. Perhaps the spa was shut on Saturday? I didn't like the proximity of the community rubbish bins opposite the hotel. I certainly didn't warm to the young Spanish girl who did her level best to rip me off at check out! Watch out for this. It may be common practice. I paid Booking.com in advance but the girl was insisting that I hadn't paid. I had to go to the car, fire up the lap top and show her my credit card account proving that I had already paid. This cost stress and wasted time, with no apology. Had I paid twice then I fear that I wouldn't get a refund from this particular establishment. On the plus side the girl did have a very nice figure, if I'm allowed to make such an observation these days. In summary, probably best avoided.

I stopped here while walking the Camino Sanabres, the stand out feature was the very helpful and friendly staff, also possibly the best Breakfast of my trip!

Well-designed space; yummy food at the restaurant; great staff. Excellent value for money.

This was obviously a cutting edge hotel when it opened, but it is now looking tired. Given the spa is in the relatively worst condition, it’s a shame we had to pay extra for it. There could be more natural light in the common areas.

Nothing, concrete bunker unappealing unless you like industrial architecture.

Horrible cell like room no window bathroom had no door. Nowhere comfortable to sit understaffed and food poor.

The breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. Very interesting architecture but not very restful.

We arrived at 9.00pm tired and hungry. The restaurant was closed. I had looked on the website and read how good the restaurant was but nowhere did it say it was closed. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us some bread and we already had cheese with us but we were very disappointed. The pillows were very spongy and too long.Didn’t like looking at a concrete slab for the ceiling when in bed. It felt a bit like a prison.

Breakfast was a beautifully laid out selection. Really nice quality. The hotel is a stunning marriage between an old stone facade and a brutalist modern concrete steel & glass structure. There really is virtually nothing nearby, so we dined in the hotel restaurant. I would rate it as ok, rather than good.

The room offered was stiflingly hot. The heating/cooling system was pumping out hot air and nothing we tried would stop it. Apparently the air con wasn’t functioning. So we were very quickly offered a different room, but it was silly to have put us in the faulty room in the first place. In other hotels with a pool / spa, guests are often offered free or reduced admission. But here they wanted €25 for both of us, and only my wife wanted a quick swim.

A beautifully designed hotel and spa. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to provide advice and assistance. I also had an excellent massage.

This place is a little gem and if you happen to be in this corner of the world I highly recommend a stay. It's a place that just makes you relax. The rooms are spacious, have a warm and calm atmoshere; the spa is gorgeous and has all you need. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant serves very good food. The breakfast is very good and has a relaxed atmosphere. There is no need to rush and they leave you to it.

Not really a negative point, but when you book please enquire whether the hotel's restaurant is open during your stay. We arrived Sunday night and it was open, however Monday night it was closed. All this was well communicated and there are some places in the vicinity (five minutes by car) where you can eat instead. Breakfast is served every day though and is great.

First of all the hotel itself looks very nice! we loved the architecture and the fact you can walk on the roof. For a stop during a Roadtrip the location is perfect next to the autobahn and you won’t hear any Noice inside the hotel.

The atomsphere was a little weird since there weren’t a lot of guests and it felt like the staff, which was really nice, was only two people who were responsible for everything. Like the check-in but also the restaurant and the bar. and unfortunately there aren’t any vegetarian options on the menu.

Nice large rooms, very unique. Nice breakfast.

Was very disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the night I stayed as I was on foot and there were no other options in the town. I was able to get basic food from the tienda but not the meal I was hoping for… Also make sure you ask and pay the fee to use the pool/jacuzzi, spa. it’s not included.

location and style of the hotel, very old, but well maintained, historic in parts.

no on duty staff, so press door button wait 10 mins for someone to turn up. May have been due to out of local season. No breakfast available, but cafe next door would do some simple sandwiches. There were three other guests and we all felt that we were left to ourselves, no-one available to ensure we paid any extras in the morning. or to work out how to open inbuilt garage doors.
