Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaHotel is located in city center, right outside there are restaurants for the dinner and boulangeries for breakfast. City itself is really nice and located in the middle of the island so with the car you can get to beaches or mountains within 50 minutes. The room was spacious and cozy, we really loved staying there.

NetherlandsCatiana was very kind and made me feel home at Son Cleda. The hotel is situated on a nice spot in the centre of town. I would recommend this place highly, esprcially if you would like to visit the rest of the island. It is situated in the middle of the island, which is very positive

United KingdomThe road works taking place directly outside the room I was staying in were extremely disruptive as I had hoped to do some remote working but this proved to be too difficult. I appreciate this was just unfortunate that it was taking place during my stay but I would have appreciated this being mentioned by staff on arrival or during my stay.
Easy to find. Spacious room.

ItalyMost of the roads in Sineu are very narrow so walking is the best option to explore the town. There are roadworks being carried out next to the hotel. This could be disturbing during the working week, but did not disturb our stay as we were there mainly over the weekend. There is no onsite parking, but plenty of parking locally which is more restricted on Market Day (Wednesday). This did not affect our stay as we were not staying on the Wednesday, but also note that there are steps to negotiate before entering the hotel.
Located in centre of town, with on-street (free)parking nearby. Welcoming host, clean and spacious room, with air-con. Historic property but thankfully has an elevator to reach the higher floors. Breakfast with a selection of sweet and savoury was served outside on the ground floor balcony. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe/bars within easy walking distance. (Special mention to the Restaurant Antic Cellar San Torreo a 100 meters from the hotel where we enjoyed the best steak and chicken cooked on the parrilla.)

The room was impeccably clean and tidy. The air-conditioning ( which is essential) worked well. The house is an interesting historical building with a wonderful staircase. The hotel is quiet and there is no bar or cafe.

AustriaNice, small hotel directly between the market of Sineu and the old town. Despite the central position, parking is very easy in the market place in front of the hotel. Several good restaurants are within 500m. Rental car is highly recommended - with own car it's the perfect location for exploring the whole island! The room and bath is spacious and very clean with air conditioning and fridge. Good breakfast is served on the terasse. Good and uncomplicated communication with the owner, who is very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomCheck-in times are - quite rightly and correctly advertised- strict. So this comment is just to stress that there is no 24hrs reception desk therefore we had to change our plans and arrive one day later due to our late flight. The communication with the owner was fast and clear so we just made other arrangements and everything was fine.
Excellent stay in a relaxed hotel and authentic location; extremely friendly and welcoming owners.

United KingdomAs an old building (now refurbished in great style), the water supply and drainage is obviously old.
Good continental breakfast with plenty of meats, cheeses, tomatoes, fruit, yogurt, coffee and excellent breads. On our first day we sat outside and watched the market (10meters away) come to life.

MaltaAlthough it is listed as a hotel, this is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast. Reception is only open in the morning and no one is available in the afternoon or during the night if something happens. It does not have a restaurant or bar open. These were always closed. So if someone is looking for an actual hotel this is not it. Although room was very clean and beds were always made, towels used (which were left on the floor) were not changed but re hanged. This was noticed since after a full day enjoying Mallorca we returned back and towels were still wet from our morning shower. When we messaged the hotel, since no staff is at the property, no reply was given. No apology was given by the management or staff. We asked for 2 towels to the cleaning lady in the morning and were given. Beds are very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good very simple but was taken as it was included in the price. Do not recommend to pay for the breakfast as it is very simple and you can take breakfast from one of the restaurants next to the hotel for less money.
Property is 30mins away from the main city Palma. The town of Sineu is very quiet and next to the hotel are very good restaurants if you do not wish to drive to another location to enjoy a good meal. Property is very clean and has air conditioning in the rooms, which works very well. It also has a lift and a good simple breakfast. Parking was never a problem as there is a parking in front of the hotel.

SpainI have rarely felt less welcome at a hotel. I can't put my finger on exactly why but likely the combination of many small things. We were told our number was 'invalid', it turned out it was because it was not signed up to WhatsApp. Asked for our exact arrival time multiple times starting 5 days before our stay. The number was only used to send is the location of the hotel two hours prior to arrival (which is public anyway) and a suggested parking. We were recommended to park at the only paid parking in the city. We were told repeatedly (even by text 28 hrs before check out) the importance of checking out BEFORE 11, preferably a few minutes before to 'avoid any trouble'. Plenty of signs telling you what not to do (don't touch the router, 30€ if you check out late, remember to leave your key, don't take the towels, don't bring friends over, lock the door, leave the 'big key' at the hotel etc) - not a single positive one telling you to enjoy your stay WiFi did not work. The room has a bath but no plug. The water heater is insufficient - it is hot and cold in waves during showers. All small things though.
Very central, good location, nice looking building. Beds are fine and the room is spacious. Air-conditioning is efficient.
