First-when we came the hotel did not have our reservation (booked months before on booking.com and confirmed). Luckily they eventually resolved it and we got our reserved room, but this has never happened to me and should not happen in such computerized systems.. Hotel facilities seem and feel old and definitely not 4 stars-more like 3. The walls and ceiling are very thin, every movement in the room above us was very much felt. Also, the room was not as clean as it should be. In addition, the opened sofa bed was cracking like it's about to fall apart. Also, peculiar room design - especially the bathroom with hardly any light, and toilet seat located almost below the ceiling marble so you could hardly sit.

Nice staff, trying to help. Location-nice safe neighbourhood out of the center, but well connected with public transport not too far. Very good diversed breakfast. Room (family suite) was big, with nice small balcony.

Nothing everything was perfect

Locations attitude of its people food I mean breakfast very good is very clean and quiet. Everything is modern and new easy to reach the room. It has a good restaurant for breakfast and there are a lot of groceries and coffee shop near the hotel.

Fernanda's help impressed me. There was a bit of a commotion upon arrival. but I recommend it wholeheartedly. Everyone should work with such a conscientiousness as Fernanda. Breakfast was excellent.

When we arrived at the hotel after having pre-registered the day before, we learned that the reservation was CANCELLED. Don’t know how or by whom. They sent us to another hotel but couldn’t register because Mercure couldn’t pay upfront bill. Mercure finally’found’ upgraded room and saved the situation. Took 2.5 hours and pulling luggage from hotel to hotel. Their system sucks.

The bathroom was a little musty when we first got there, but after use, the smell went away! No other real complaints, as this was a relatively solid hotel.

There are quite a selection of breakfast spots (bakeries, coffee shops, groceries stores) surrounding the hotel. Additionally, it's close to the train station and other restaurants in the area. It was a quiet, cute neighborhood, but it wasn't necessarily central Barcelona.

No furniture on the balcony, wide gap around toilet door!

Good breakfast, very accommodating as they let us have the room early as we landed after a very early flight. This really helped us. Room was clean and tidy and well presented. We had a junior suite with a balcony which was a lovely bonus with fabulous vista at night.

the sofa bed was way too soft. the bathroom was ok but the toilet was too close to the sink! and i could hear the neighbours phone pinging with every message that came in at 4am.

the suite was great for me at the kids. two seperate rooms.

Some basic amenities like irons and ironing boards are not in the room. They are available at reception, but they can't be brought up to you. Going downstairs to collect it while we're getting ready wasn't ideal.

The room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores around. Staff are friendly.

I wish to know who is the genius which decided that tiny glass door in bathroom is a good idea. But more and more hotels have it. I hate it. I also had pain in back after sleeping on sofa. Too soft. Unfortunately prices in Barcelona raise each year.
