The lobby and bar (right next to the lobby) had an constant intense smell of cigars. The place is called "sanctuary" but it didn't to appear to be one, specially because of the intense smell of cigars.

The hotel is in a secluded location at the top of the hill, with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. There is a sense of calm and the sunset was fantastic! Even though there was no air conditioning in the room it was perfectly cool, even in late May.

Staff were interesting. Up the top of a steep hill if walking (as I was) or cycling.

Amazing place at the top of a huge escarpment. Big and spacious and interesting. Garden and seating opposite with amazing views. Bar and restaurant. Food was good. Room and facilities good. Would consider going again.

There was no information in the room at all and as I don’t speak Spanish had no idea when meals were served. I’m sure the receptionist tells anybody that speaks Spanish but it doesn’t help non speakers.

The smell from the drain in the room and no toilet seat - even though it appears to be the design.

Fabulous view and location. Off the beaten track and basic accommodation but loved it. Hosts were accommodating with good communication prior to arrival.

It's a quiet hotel, so I could hear everything the couple in the next room were saying. No kettle or t.v. in room, but that did not worry me. Take care that when you keave, your sat nav does not take you onto a dirt track about 500m. from the hotel, which surprisingly is officially a road. It goes for around 20 kms across the hills, if your suspension can last that long !

Fabulous location and views, definitely 'away from it all ' ! Staff were friendly and helpful, very Spanish with little English spoken. Ample parking, good bar, restaurant (opened at 8 p.m.) and breakfast. Would definitely use this hotel again.

It was a big mistake to have dinner at the restaurant: the portions were small, expensive and not at all tasty. The waiter made a very bad impression on me: he had a sloppy appearance and the communication with him was difficult. I also had a problem with the booking: I received a message from the hotel that they need to verify my credit card and they need my consent to block an amount. If not, they will cancel my reservation. But they wanted to block an amount 10 times higher than the total price of the reservation (440 eur for a 44 eur room)! I wrote to them that I do not agree and that the amount they want to block is outrageously high. Their only answer was: ok. Until I arrived to the hotel, I didn't know if my reservation was still valid or not.

Great location, with outstanding views over Bardenas Reales, but far enough from the park or villages. Big parking. Basic but big room . Good for one night, no more.

Wasn't sure if the bar restaurant was open. Actually didn't know there was a restaurant there until the second last night of our stay. The communication wasn't great and room wasn't cleaned everyday.

The room was spacious and the view was fantastic!
