How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Noisy floors but not a deal breaker. I would stay here again without any hesitation.
Location was excellent. Felt safe. Place was clean. Staff was attentive.

It was noisy....due to the location. There is no AC so this is not a summer hotel. There was a great fan!
The location was amazing. Clean room great bathroom!

Nothing - would definitely stay here again & highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Santiago.
The room was great. The beds were comfortable & we had a balcony overlooking the streets of old Santiago de Compostela. It was convenient to the Cathedral, restaurants and shops. The owner gave us excellent recommendations on great places to eat. We had one minor glitch - no hot water one evening. We contacted the owner & he had someone over to fix it within minutes. Couldn’t ask for better service.

It was a bit noisy at night (the down side of a great central location).
Very comfortable, immaculately clean and very central - brilliant location close to the cathedral, restaurants and shops. A warm welcome from our host.

En pleno casco antiguo se alza este maravilloso ático con terraza. Es un edificio con mucha historia y desde la terraza pudimos disfrutar de la procesión de semana santa y una muy bonita puesta de sol para despedirnos de Santiago.

Lovely room in an old building in the heart of Santiago de Compostella. Exposed beams and plenty of room to spread out. French windows with rail to watch the world go by Great place to stay after finishing the Camino. As it is the old town, rather noisy with late night celebrations.

I had a great stay here. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town. Very spacious room that is full of character. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Well worth the price.

I had stayed in Santiago after Camino many times before but this was the first time I arrived with a partner so we decided to get a double room - it was a Saturday night and we only looked to book the night before, so a lot of places were sold out and we did pay more than we’d intended. That said, it was quite an experience staying so central with everything on the doorstep. It’s a little noisy at night and with the street cleaners in the morning (the old city is closed off to traffic except for a few hours in the morning for the streets to be cleaned, deliveries, rubbish collection etc.) but we were so tired we slept just fine. I would highly recommend so as to soak up the vibe of the city and I personally would stay here again.

When it`s noisy outside it`s noisy inside and even three pairs of doors aren`t helping. One of the shops/restaurants was playing music until late in the night so I had to sleep with earplugs.
Decent size room, clean, nice bathroom with a hairdryer. Beautiful balcony!

The addition of a kettle and tea or coffee making supplies would make this room perfect. Also be aware that no-one is at reception, however, they will provide you with a WhatsApp number to message them with the time of your arrival and someone will come to let you in at that time.
A superb location close to the Cathedral in the heart of the old town. A large, clean room, and a bathroom with a proper full-sized bathtub.

Quite noisy 24/7 and no air conditioning. No tea making facilities.
Great location. Comfortable and homely in the middle of everything. Supermarket, restaurants and cathedral right there.

A little pricey after walking the Camino but probably a good deal compared to what they could charge
Centrally located, close to cathedral. Clean and comfortable. We had to extend our stay due to not being able to book transportation out of Santiago and they were very accommodating
