Absolutely stunning hotel - real quiet luxury in the most beautiful setting. All the small details of this place make it so special, the amazing breakfasts, the beautifully decorated areas and corners to relax in with breathtaking views, the pool area is also paradise. Our room was lovely, part of the old house but restored amazingly. Would definitely return.

Outstanding, personalised service—Edith and John are truly remarkable hosts who made our stay unforgettable. The environment is stunningly beautiful, deeply calming, and exceptionally restorative. Facilities are impeccable, thoughtfully designed, and meticulously maintained. Breakfast was simply phenomenal—every dish freshly prepared, bursting with flavour, and presented like a piece of art. This place is genuinely heaven-sent; an absolute sanctuary for deep relaxation, restful sleep, and total rejuvenation of body and soul. We couldn't recommend it highly enough!

It was a little tricky to access the property due to recent rain damage, but after you have done the drive once you will be more comfortable!

The rooms, the decor, the pool area, the breakfasts (oh my goodness, the best breakfast spreads ever). My sister and I had the most amazing stay at San Roque and were very sad to leave. Edith and her husband made our stay so inviting and we would certainly recommend!

Nothing at all.

It was beautifully appointed in the middle of nowhere but close to small towns and larger Marbella etc. The owners were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They welcomed us and our boys who unexpectedly at late and very short notice joined us for a night. The food was wonderful. We would definitely go again when in this area. You do need a car.

Once in all good, or better than good.

Once you reach the location it is brilliant. The track to reach it, I found difficult the first time. You need a car but well worth the effort.

Everything, the tasteful decor straight out of a magazine, the comfortable rooms and pool beds, the pool itself, the many cosy nooks and corners dotted around the property, the amazing breakfasts, the views, the warmth and hospitality of Edith and John. It’s so obvious they have put their heart and soul into the property. This is one of the if not the best boutique hotel my husband and I have stayed at. We only stayed for two nights. I miss it already and wish we stayed longer. Will definitely return.

Wonderful location with breathtaking far reaching views. Lovely casitas with a great pool area. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Every morning you will wake up to a freshly prepared delicious breakfast by Edith. Would highly recommend this place to other guests and would happily return in the future.

Such a unique charming hotel. Amazing hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. Delicious breakfast and tapas style dinner. Beautiful pool. Beautiful rooms with an emphasis on sustainability. Amazing setting within lovely gardens with bountiful fig trees overlooking the village of Monda. Unbelievable attention to details and amazing interiors. Will be back for sure.

San roque was so beautiful and calm. Our suite was tastefully decorated and had a wonderful private terrace. The property itself is in a beautiful rural setting, lovely pool and shady spots to siesta. The hosts Edith & John were so welcoming and the breakfasts each day were out of this world! Lots of lovely restaurants within a short drive of the property recommended by Edith.

We spent three delightful days at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, Edith, an AMAZING host, made us feel incredibly welcome. She even helped organize a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, making our stay even more special. The hotel’s design is stunning, with lovely details everywhere. Breakfast was the best ever, and the option for lunch was just as delightful. The views are breathtaking, and the entire place is immaculately clean and calm, perfect for logging off and unwinding. The location is remote, so a car is a must. If you're looking for a relaxing retreat with exceptional hospitality and top-notch amenities, this hotel is the ideal choice. We can't wait to return!

A minor point, the approach lane was quite rough in places, so need to be careful when driving (especially at night). There is no sign for the property.
