Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe loved the property. If enjoyed walking too and from town but you may need to consider public transport if hot and you’d don’t want to walk uphill too much.
So clean. The breakfast was so generous and we had food we could take out for the day as a result. We watched the sunset twice at the San Miguel lookout across the road and met many people there. The accommodation offers so much space and we could sit in the balcony upstairs or in the courtyard. It was as really comfortable.

United StatesAfter staying in lots of tiny hotel rooms, Stefano's place was a welcomed retreat. His place is lovely and spacious, the breakfast options he provided were plentiful, the communal kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed seeing snow-capped mountains from our room. The king-size bed also felt luxurious after sharing lots of doubles. It's a bit of a walk down into town, but we actually loved that as well--walking into the Albaicin district and, another direction, down pathways into Sacromonte.

CanadaIt was a bit of a climb to get there but well worth it in the end for the views and accommodations it offered. A little inconvenient to have to use a key for the bathroom in the middle of the night.
There were lots of breakfast options and all organized very well. Steven was an excellent host. The view of the mountains, the daytime view of the town and the nighttime view of the town was amazing. The extra room/space was much appreciated.

United StatesThe property is on a hill in a residential area and there are no stores or restaurants nearby. To reach the closest restaurants you have to climb down some steep hills and stairs with no handrails. We were somewhat overwhelmed with the explanation when we arrived. It would have been great to have some of it written on a handout. We also made the mistake of following GPS to get there and it took us through the old section of town where only residents are supposed to drive. At one point I had to pull in both side mirrors in order to get through with the help of a passer by who guided me. So... do not trust the GPS. On the way out, we were able top drive on narrow but sane streets.
The B&B host provided ample and varied food for breakfast and what we did not consume was there for us to consume up until 9:30 PM! There are two rooms. All the food drawers and cupboards are color coded so you know what you can use and what belongs to the other guests. The room we had had a door that we could lock and a bathroom inside the room. The other room had the bathroom off of the hallway. So be sure which one you are getting. The entrance has a yard that is very nicely decorated. The rooms are minimally decorated but in good taste. The host greeted us and gave us a tour of the property and explained the environs. The host encouraged us to call him if we needed anything. We did not need anything and never saw him again.

United KingdomThere was nothing really to dislike.
The location was wonderful. A bus ride from the centre and the countryside on the doorstep. The parking was easy and free which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that was left for us every morning. Stefano was very helpful giving us information about the local area and explaining where the nearest restaurants were.

United KingdomParking was not directly outside the gate, but at the base of a short slope next to the house, but this was no problem at all. The house is in Albaicin, which is some way from the city centre so it is not somewhere you can easily 'nip back to!' But, if you are out for a complete day, it is good. We took about twenty minutes to walk from the city centre. There are frequent mini-buses and the taxis are reasonably priced. We arrived by car, and our Sat-Nav was very useful.
Beautiful house in a sunny location overlooking the valley. Stefano was a wonderful host and he gave us a lot of information about the local area, the city of Granada. We had access to a well-appointed kitchen, (including a coffee-maker, a kettle, a microwave, and a cooker), an outside patio, our double room, a single room, a private bathroom and an upstairs lounge. A continental breakfast was served each morning with bread rolls, butter, fruit, yoghurt, ham and cheese. There was also milk, tea, and coffee. There was plenty of food. We were able to walk to The Alhambra and also to the city centre from the house. We would love to stay again! :-)

United StatesWe could have used a bit more instruction on how to navigate to town. We love to walk, it’s very hilly and Google led us astray.
Stephan gave us a detailed orientation to the space and everything was well organized! We had two rooms, plus a shared kitchen and a third floor with beautiful view! There was only one other apartment in the house. The best part was the view overlooking all of Granada.
