Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThat is super interesting place, with super nice host, unique atmosphere for very good price. We stayed for one night - one room for 4 family members - the place with nice view, clean rooms. What is interesting, this place remembers the glory days :)

IrelandNo hot breakfast. The rooms could do with being modernised even though they were very comfortable.
Perfect location for an early morning ferry, appox 10 mins travel time to the port. Safe and secure underground parking at a reasonable €12 per night. Lovely area with local shops and pubs nearby and a Lidl within walking distance.

New ZealandThe utter stench of the room on entry , a combination of fish ,oil and cat pee . We arrived at 10 pm and were exhausted so just collapsed. I was frightened the carpet had been cleaned and this was the resultant chemicals . We were checking out at 8 and offended the host by inadvertently entering the breakfast room at 7.45 .
The location , close the metro L2.straight to Bilboa and the Guggenheim . The linen was clean .the breakfast was good .the room faced the back of hotel . Room 10 and was very quiet . We asked for a fan and a second towel for second guest . We walked to the port which is absolutely heaving with people on a Thursday night . I caught the metro back .

United KingdomUnfortunately no dining room so we had to walk into town for dinner. We could have taken the metro but decided to walk down the hill which was fine - but it was a long way back up afterwards. Nowhere served dinner before 9pm and we were very tired, but we managed to get a baguette so had something. There was no air conditioning and it was hot, but the open window let in a good breeze and very little noise.
The man at reception spoke very good English and was very friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Underground parking was easy and spacious. Excellent location for the ferry. If we stay again, which is highly possible, we would have a good lunch en route to avoid needing dinner.

United KingdomFunctional and utilitarian and not warm and comfortable.
Great location for the ferry port. The man on reception and the lady facilitating breakfast were helpful and engaging. They had secure storage for my bicycle. The room was clean, tidy, and functional for a one night stay, although a little noisy with youngsters playing outside in the square during the evening, but they didn't disturb my sleep. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. I would use the hotel again to catch the ferry.

United KingdomThis is a 2 star hotel and for 2 stars the hotel was lovely. It was clean, the staff where polite and the location was good. We went for 2 days for a football match and their was a metro literally 50 yards away direct to San Memes football stadium. I love the fact that the reception was open 24hrs and that they actually lock the front door at a certain time so you need to buzz to get in.

United KingdomFinding the hotel parking was not easy. Impossible to park outside the front but that is where the GPS directions took us!! I found on-street parking half a kilometer away then had to walk to the hotel to ask for directions to their secure parking. All stressful in a large city.
Location (for ferry), large room size, comfortable beds, secure underground parking.

IrelandThe sound proofing wasn’t great. We could hear noise from the adjoining rooms. I was woken up by the people next door having a shower at 5.30am. It felt like I was in the shower with them.
The hotel is a bit tired and dated. But it is good for people heading for the ferry which is about 10 minutes away by car. It has a good secure car park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar next door and a supermarket around the corner.
