Sa Barraca is a wonderful little hotel with only 7 rooms, perched with a beautiful view over the sea and full of authenticity. Our room was spacious, simple yet charming, with a huge terrace to enjoy the scenery. The whole place feels like a real home, furnished with warmth and character – it reminded me of my grandmother’s house in the best possible way. Breakfast is simple but just right: you can choose sweet or savory. I loved the savory option with bread and tomato, omelette, fresh fruit, and orange juice – the perfect start to the day. The couple managing the place are incredibly welcoming and caring, always available when needed but never intrusive. Their warmth made the stay even more special. The location is great but a car is recommended in my opinion– although you can walk to the beach, Begur, and even Tamariu, the road isn’t ideal at night.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Sa Barraca. The moment you walk in, it feels like home—the kind of place where you instinctively want to take your shoes off and settle in. It’s cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. The couple who runs it are truly wonderful—so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their warmth sets the tone for the entire stay. The location is perfect if you enjoy walking. We didn’t use our car once during our time there! Everything from the beaches to the town center is within reach on foot, and the strolls are beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore Begur. Highly recommend!

Nothing it was perfect.

The owners were really nice and welcoming. The property’s area was beautiful with big houses in the neighbourhood. The view from our room was magical and it had 2 lounge chairs with a table. The view from the communal balcony was also incredible. Lastly, the kitchen and fridge area is well organized.

This place is an absolute gem! Peaceful, authentic, and surrounded by stunning nature. Everything was just perfect: the atmosphere, the scents, the sounds of birds in the morning, and the incredibly warm and kind people. There are so few places like this left in the world! The Wi-F is not great – and honestly, that’s a blessing. It forces you to slow down, unplug, and truly be present. A real reset for the mind and soul. You absolutely need a car to get there and to explore the surrounding area – but that’s part of the charm. It keeps the place quiet, unspoiled, and special. We completely fell in love and will definitely be back ❤️

The hosts are such kind and friendly people who can't do enough for you (we planned our return journey just so that we could stay here again). The hotel and rooms are spotless, breakfast is tasty and the views are incredible. We spent most of our time in the communal living room as the atmosphere is like home from home and we can't wait to return.

You must have a car to stay here (we did) as walking to the beaches or Begur is a bit of a hike.

There wasn't anything at all to dislike.

The hosts were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us. They gave us lots of local information and a map to help us find places. They gave us use of a shared kitchen with our own shelf in the fridge, microwave and kettle which was very handy. Our room was lovely, traditionally Spanish and with our own terrace with a fabulous view overlooking the coast. We opted for breakfast each day on the hotel terrace with a sweet and savoury option, this was fantastic value for money. We will definitely return and it was very hard to leave!

Our stay at the Sa Barraca was absolutely wonderful! The hosts are a married couple and are very welcoming and lovely. We had booked a room with a seaside-view and were blown away by the panoramic view over the ocean. The room was very clean and the hosts were always happy to help. The breakfast is freshly made and totally worth it. The hotel is at a very good location, with the ocean and supermarkets being nearby.
