Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainLots of birds and insects on the north side -- didn't dare open the window. Fortunately the room had a fan, so we were able to sleep fine.
Nicely furnished rooms, professional staff, very quiet and in an outstanding location.

United KingdomAll good!
Unique place nestling in the Pyrenees. I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to be back. Great hotel, service, staff, room and wifi, The Japanese themed restaurant was totally unexpected and the food was out of this world. My one regret is that I had to do some work so didn't get in the two hour walk that is available. (See map on bedroom wall).

United KingdomJust be aware apartment is top floor without lift. Otherwise everything perfect.
An apartment on the top floor - huge balcony overlooking village to mountains. Beautiful view out the bedroom across the valley to hill top villages. Modern apartment and bathroom. Perfect for the three of us. Dinner in the restaurant - fabulous chef. Loved the generous breakfast.

EstoniaThin walls so it depends a bit who is in the hotel with you. My first night started quite noisy due to some bigger party of other quests, 2nd night was quiet.
Great place off the beaten path if you want something nice in the mountains in a small and cozy village. Smaller hotel, great views over the valley and friendly staff.

Brazilthe only thing, if anything, is that I was made aware of the fact that I cannot park in front of the house (obviously, it is a small old village with narrow roads) only by mail, which I did not see. Parking is outside the village which was completely understandable to us. It would have been better to know this in advance but never mind. It is really not worth mentioning. A lot of people complained about cold nights in winter and it was not good for small children. This I would confirm. I did not see a good heating system, and for little children the place is boring and the other guests might dislike it too. We were there end of April and then the rooms were not cold at all
we were looking for a place away from the crowds in nature, and this was it. Apart from that, the restaurant is very interesting. They do very modern stuff but it was good nevertheless (combination catalan and japanese cuisine, try the truffles rice). the pets are free, which I think is very generous. the pets can even go into the restaurant since they don't want you to leave them alone in the room since they had some incidents and damages

Italy-
Beautifully restored stone house in a lovely little village, with a courtyard where we were served a variety of delicious tapas after a long drive. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming, even to our two dogs. The room was peaceful, cool (facing over the surrounding mountains) and the bed was comfortable. There was literally nothing about this place we didn’t like. We pass through the area every year and will make sure we allow for a longer stay to enjoy the hikes in the area next time. We have stayed in other small hotels in this area but Font del Genil was way better, and better value for money. Thank you!

ItalyParking is inconvenient, but it is true that is impossible to park just in front of the hotel since it is located in an old village
Beautiful location, carefully restored old building and nice furnishings. Breakfast was good with local produce.

BelgiumLocated under the roof our room sits next to a smaller one. The first night I woke up at 1:00 am because of the neighbours’ télévision, which was rather loud. I knocked at their door after a while and they turned it off immediately. But they kept talking… not that loud and still, I could hear everything… like I was in that conversation : the wall between these rooms is like a sheet of paper. Second night that room was empty and it was perfect. Some insulation would be welcome. Apart from that great experience
Nice location in a charming village. The hotel is really pleasant, pretty small, but offering a nice breakfast and a small restaurant. Not a big choice seen the size but good local products were offered. Nice big room for 4 persons with a great view and terrace. Staff very nice and helpful

United KingdomNothing, everything was perfect.
What a gem of a find. We took 2 weeks to explore and travel around Spain, Italy and France, staying in a different place each night. This place was one of the best! Certainly the best in Spain. The hosts were welcoming and told us everything we needed to know about our stay. when we arrived in our gorgeous little cute room with its lovely wooden balcony we were pleased to find a cat on our balcony! As animal lovers it was lovely to relax after a long drive and have our little room mate snuggle up to us. We ate at the property, the food was very very good and the setting was gorgeous. After dinner we had a walk around the village and decided we would love to come back and spend some time exploring the area. Car parking is in the village car park which is quiet and very safe. I would like to thank staff (and cats) at the hotel for a lovely stay, even if it was just for one night. We have been left with great memories.

GermanyA dog from the next-door neighbour was barking in the backyard, which was quite loud, but it went quiet before the midnight, so it didn't disturb my sleep.
A nice and clean room. The hotel is located in the nice country-side, which gives a great view from the room's window. I didn't try, but the restaurant downstairs looked nice.

FranceThe menu was very small, and not everything was available. Apart from making the bed NO cleaning at all was done during a 3 night stay. The shower curtain had not been washed for sometime. The hotel lacks a woman’s touch, and as they have a captive audience…..
The location was wonderful, very quiet and beautiful views
