The architecture is beautiful, a mix of ancient stone walls, heavy timbers, glass and stone. The beds and linens were very luxurious and smelled like the outdoors, the bathtub was gigantic and the library well stocked with books in many languages. Food was carefully prepared and delicious and staff were very attentive

This property was a perfect place to have a restful evening while in the Camino. The patio and library were my favorite spots to just relax. The staff is so friendly and accommodating!

Having to leave, I would have liked to have spent a week here!

Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had one of the best meals I’ve eaten on the Camino! The hotel is awesome with very comfortable rooms, big and spacious.

This was hands down our best stop on the Camino Frances (starting at Sarria). Humberto, Santiago and their team are so attentive to all details, their hospitality ensured we always felt welcome and part of their community!

I wouldn’t change a thing

By the end of the stay we felt like family. Friendly happy staff. It has great little niches for relaxation. Lots of window where you can watch cows grazing. If you are a foodie this place is a must. Exceptional food with the best service. He that explained the locally sourced food. The dining room is enclosed by windows and is sunny and welcoming. Breakfast is also served. The owner said goodby and offered to take pictures of us as we left.

We had a wonderful afternoon, evening and morning at Rectoral de Lestedo. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious, our room was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for our Camino walk.

Hiking the Camino from St. Jean I stayed in many places. This was easily the best one of all. The location is right on the trail, the building is beautiful and the accommodations are beyond comfortable, the staff is phenomenal and take great care to ensure your stay is top notch and your every need is taken care of. And the food!!! The dinner I had was spectacular. I even got a recipe to try back home because it was that delicious.

The peace, the hospitality, the food and the ambience. This place should easily be one of the best stays on the Camino Frances. Visit the church that Humberto sends you to. It’s an ancient hidden gem.

I can’t think of anything which could have been improved.

The staff were so attentive. They could not have been kinder and more helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we required. They gave us a glass in wine at the end of a longs days walking; they lit the fire because we were cold, they gave us blankets for our knees, extra water for our bedrooms - nothing was too much bother. Great food too. Can highly recommend.

The best stay we had on our trip in Spain! The owner and staff go above and beyond to ensure you have an incredible stay. They use locally sourced food for the restaurant. Incredible, fine dining at its best! Great room, comfortably sized and beautiful main lodge. Right on the Camino! You are not considered a guest here, you become one of the family. We are still talking about our stay here days later.

The location was perfect and so serene. Staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. The little library downstairs was the perfect place to relax after a long day of walking.
