The staff were not super friendly, they gave us a room on the 1st floor (no elevator) despite having a baby and a pram, and the pool was not great.

The location was beautiful, and the restaurant delicious

when we arrived at 3.30pm we could not get any food or drink in the hotel until 8.30pm. There was only one other restaurant in the town open and that was also not serving food at that time - only rolls. the little supermarket was also closed. Breakfast was from 9.00am which we didn’t realise as we had to leave at that time for our ferry home. they opened up breakfast early for us when they realised.

it was a beautiful building in a lovely town. There were a few disadvantages listed be,ow but overall we loved the quirkiness of it and would stay again.

Slightly pricey room compared to Palencia.

Good ambience, good staff. Food very nice. Rooms I stayed very large, good view of village square.

It was hard to find anywhere in the village for a snack lunch, and we had enjoyed everything there was to see in a couple of hours, so would not recommend more than a one night stay, especially as nearby Palencia was very built up and busy and hard to find anywhere to park. We found the pillows rather hard.

It was in the centre of an architecturally interesting small town, more like a big village, with a picturesque castle and ornate Gothic church tower. We could park right outside. The receptionist was charmingly helpful and carried our suitcases up the stairs for us. The interior was consciously rustic and unusual.

there is absolutely nothing to dislike about this beautiful hotel

a beautiful old property with so much charm and character. we were upgraded to a stunning suite, so kind of them. the lady on reception and all the staff were SO friendly and welcoming to us and to our dog, Mabel. delicious food in the restaurant and we were very well looked after by 2 lovely waitresses. the town is small but beautiful and very quiet. a stunning church and castle and great walks for the dog. so lovely, we have already booked a room for our return journey in a month’s time.
