Friendly people, very welcoming. Ideal to visit the caves to see the rock art. I was surprised by the tranquility and the easy going. The food is fantastic. Perfect.

Nothing not to like

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was large, comfortable and very nicely decorated, with a small balcony. It’s only a short walk into the centre of Puente Viesgo which is very pretty

The hotel is fairly noisy, with plumbing noises and scraping of furniture on tiles above us. The hotel is in a quiet hamlet, but we were at the end of the hotel where all the dogs lived. Four barking at once, plus two donkeys in the field! That's rural Spain. Also one night our neighbour had his TV on all night. A kettle for tea-making would have been appreciated.

We stayed 5 nights. The staff were friendly and the breakfast and evening meals were good. The room was clean and the bathroom quite big. It's very close to Puente Viesgo and we enjoyed walking along the lanes and Greenway, as well as climbing up to the caves on the opposite hill. The local Coviran mini-market was adequate. You can hire bicycles to cycle along the Greenway.

The most comfortable bed in all of Spain. Quiet, beautiful location,which I love, comfortable lounge area, drinks served and lovely breakfast. Lots of art, historic photos and artistically arranged surrounds gave a homely feel. Will return for longer next time

Beautiful building and room with lovely hillside views from balcony. Super clean. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Just a 1km or so bike ride or walk to lovely village on the river

For me the bed was quite uncomfortable but maybe personal preference as it was a little firm. Would benefit from some extra pillows in the room.

Such a lovely location, the area is very pretty. Staff so welcoming and the room has a lovely little balcony. Nice places to walk with my dog who was welcomed at this hotel. Basic but nice breakfast.

Not much to say, this hotel is a really nice basic stopover. Building and family owners all delightful.

Quiet beautiful location need a little Spanish but not essential, food basic but good enough. Lovely walking area and close to North coast.

The location was amazing. The facilities were great. The evening meal and breakfast were fabulous. Readily accommodated my dog. The owners/staff were more than helpful. The cleanliness inside and out was exceptional.

Breakfast was poor, stale, toasted bread that was almost impossible to eat. Although the homemade cake was good, but breakfast identical for 4 days. Something fresh (fruit) would have been welcomed. On check out they tried to charge me for the room which I knew I had pre-paid via booking.com. I even showed him my credit card statement on my phone which clearly showed I had paid and the money had left my account. He wasn't budging until I said I would phone my credit card company. He then miraculously 'realised' (by looking at same piece of paper he had in his hand all along) that I had in fact pre-paid. It seemed an attempt to rip me off?

Slightly rural location about 1.5km out of town. Nice walk into town along riverside path. Only dog friendly hotel in area I think.
