Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaNothing major, bathroom could use few more hooks and the AC was quite strong, so we slept without it since it can be turned off.
Location of the hotel is really central and we got nice, new room on the quiet side. I saw older reviews claiming noise from the cocktail bar that is downstairs, however it was very calm while we were there. Rooms were cleaned exceptionally well every day and breakfast was varied and fulfilling. The staff is super nice and I really appreciated them letting me leave my luggage after check out, and having a shower after all day on the beach since my flight was late in the evening.

IrelandNo kettle in the room so if you want a coffee or tea before going to breakfast which is quite far to walk just for a coffee - you cant. You can also buy one in the cafe for around 3-4euros in the bar which opens at 11am.
The location, room, bed and swimming pool are really nice. Breakfast was really good too.

SpainWaiting in line to make coffee out of the single coffee maker. I think it would be better to have those big jugs of coffee used for brunch service.
The location was ideal, close to a few beaches which I liked. The breakfast was good.

FranceMy husband and I were given a double room, on the 3rd floor. Room 318 to be exact. For some reason, ours was the only one with no room number indicated. All other rooms had their numbers by the door. We had to scavenge the whole hotel to finally decide and open the only door with no number. The room was right in front of the elevator ! Literally in front. So we hear everything at night. All the footsteps, all the talking, and most of all the noise the elevator makes when being used. A loud banging noise. I am a light sleeper so this was my worst nightmare. Moreover, the bathroom was too tiny. In one straight line, you have the toilet bowl, the sink then the shower. My husband and I are not too big. We weight between 65kg-75kg. And mesure about 1m58-1m70. Every time we seat on the toilet, our left shoulder bumps on the sink. You literally have the sink in front of you while sitting. Just like a table and chair. So I can’t even imagine for people taller and bigger than us. What a nightmare. Another thing that bothered us a whole lot was the shower. The shower was tiny and only had a curtain. The shower drain didn’t drain much. So every time we showered, it would flood not only the bathroom, but the bedroom too! There is no separation from the bedroom and Bathroom. Just a sliding door that doesn’t even lock. So naturally everything floods everywhere. We had to put all our towels to clean the floor everyday. They give us one shower mat, 2 hand towels, and 2 body towels. With all the flooding, we had to put all the towels, except for the body towels to dry the floor and avoid it to flood the entire tiny room. The reception isn’t open all night long, so if you had any complaints, you had to wait the next morning at 9am. Also, maybe we were just unlucky, but during our first night, there was a baby cockroach on our bed. We didn’t bring any food in the room whatsoever.
This hotel has one of the best locations in Paguera. It is situated in between the beach and the street. You have everything around you; pharmacies, restaurants, supermarkets, mini markets, car rentals, touristic guides and events, massages, disco, bars etc. The hotel has 5 levels. Ground floor where you have the entrance, the breakfast area and the reception. 1st to 3rd floor are where the rooms are situated. And 4th floor they have a rooftop where you can chill and sunbathe. They also have a shower and toilet on the rooftop. On the ground floor, the breakfast area is connected to the Wakiki Bar. I personally didn’t take breakfast simply because of the bad reviews I have read beforehand. The receptionist are wonderful people and are so kind and helpful. When I first reserved, I had reserved twin beds because no doubles were available . However, after messaging them on booking, they were kind enough to change my room to a double, free of charge. They have a luggage room where you can store your things even after you check out. Which is awesome. The room has a wardrobe where you can hang and hold your clothes. So this is a plus. The room also has a balcony with a view of the streets.

CroatiaThe main drawback of this accommodation was the bathroom, which is too small. Because of this, we had a flood every day when we showered, so we had to put towels on the floor to absorb the water. (Praise to the cleaning lady who brought us new ones every day, even though the hotel said that towels are changed every 2 days). The bed was too hard, and the pillows were strange and impractical. It would be good to add a towel dryer to the rooms on the terrace, so that you have a place to put wet things after swimming on the beach.
The hotel is located near all necessary facilities (restaurants, shops) and the beach. The bus station is also located 200 meters from the hotel and offers a direct line to the airport. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and approachable. The breakfast is satisfactory, they offer various types of salami, cheeses, spreads, cereals and a machine for hot drinks. In any case, good value for money.

UruguayThe bathroom was extremely small and so were the towels. Also, the air conditioning didn’t work.
The staff was friendly and the our room had a lovely balcony with a couple of chairs to relax. It is located in Paguera’s main avenue and close to a public parking, which was key since you must rest a car to travel along the island. The breakfast was great, with a variety of options and the bar is open until late at night.

BrazilThey confirmed late check ins were possible and then cancelled our first night one day before our arrival, saying reception availability had changed. We got a refund, but still it was very upsetting and stressful to have to look for a new place to stay with such short notice. We still had a great stay despite that.
The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is good and the location was perfect for us, close to the beach and many bars/restaurants in the area. Lovely staff, especially Babette who made us feel welcome right from the start.

GermanyOverall everything was fine, but unfortunately, the room was very noisy. We could hear absolutely everything from the other rooms. They could also have better pillows since the ones they have are too small.
The hotel has a pretty nice location, is close to the beach, and with several restaurants nearby. The room has a good size, the bathroom is excellent and the whole room is well-equipped with a wardrobe, a big mirror, a tv, an office desk, and a small fridge. Bonus point to the staff that was really welcoming and helpful in every interaction we had.
