Spacious well-appointed rooms, impeccably clean, comfortable, very new building. Nice breakfast. Above all amazing people. Very thoughtful about everything from how to dry your wet shoes to giving you a lift into town (which is very close anyway), to great food recommendations.

It was a short walk out of the town centre but the host offered lifts and was very friendly, only added 10 minutes and Camino is for walking anyway

Could use a mini fridge except a second TV! but still it’s really really good.

It’s incredibly clean. The bedsheets are spotless. The room is really comfortable, and the furniture is new. The woman (I assume the owner) is very welcoming and kind. She even offered us to take us to central Melide for free with her own car.

Simply phenomenal. Atypical. Quite a few steps up. Shower? Perfect. Aesthetic? Camino, friendly, but a very needed pampering and blessing for a tired and weary body. The owner is simply stellar. Above and beyond. This is probably the most underrated place in all of the city.

Fantastic stay while walking the Camino. The staff was amazing. The facilities were clean and comfortable. There was a large washer and dryer on site that were easy to use for a small fee. Breakfast was generous and worth the additional cost. It is located a little bit away from the city center but they drove us into town for dinner and picked us up. Our tired legs and feet appreciates that. It was a close walk to get back on the Camino the next morning.

Very clean and comfortable place. It is a little outside the main business district, but still walkable. Also, they provide free shuttle service if you want to be driven. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Spacious comfortable room, great breakfast, clean, quiet. Monica who manages the property is an exceptional hostess. Warm friendly and so helpful. The property is a little out of the way, though easy enough to walk to and from town but Monica also offered to drive and pick me up anytime I wanted to go into town or to get started on the camino next day. Highly recommend if you want a really comfortable clean welcoming stay.

Our favorite stay on the Camino!!! This was by far the best property we stayed at doing our Camino. So much thought has been put into every detail of the rooms, the common areas, the breakfast offered, and Monica the host is just outstanding! She goes above and beyond to make the guest feel welcome and appreciated. She even offers rides to the city center for tired guests! The room was super comfortable and had everything we could’ve wished for. Especially appreciated the room, darkening shades, and the comfortable beds. I highly, highly recommend staying here!

I had left my water bottle in the village an hours walk away from Urban Pension. On reaching Urban Pension, I asked the very kind and helpful host Monica if she can call the restaurant to confirm my bottle is there. She did and then she offered to drive there to retrieve my bottle which she promptly did. Her cheerful reply was, “It takes you an hour to walk there but only one min if I drive”. Google says it is 6km away. It would cost her 20mins to go there and back. It’s this warmth and care for a pilgrim that touches the heart and makes me think that the Spanish are truly wonderful, big hearted people. Monica is the very embodiment of going the extra (7.5) miles to take care of her guests. The property is very modern, spacious and clean with air conditioning that works perfectly. That meant a perfect nights sleep. For those on the Camino, you know that’s often not the case in the places you have been. The lobby compares with that of classy boutique hotels in any major city. Fellow pilgrims, for your sake, make this your stop in Melide. I can’t praise this property enough.

The hotel is new & modern, rooms are very spacious and well equipped, breakfast was very good and with plenty gluten free/ diary free options. Monica, the host is absolutely amazing. She drove me to town and to the restaurants and she is simply pne of the most pleasant people i met. She is kind and always ready to help. The hotel is a small detour from center but the experience is totally worth it.

Urban Pension was an oasis of calm and relaxation a short walk from the bustle of the town centre. Monica, the hostess, was pleasant, friendly and obliging. She offered a complimentary taxi service to and from the town centre. Our room was spacious. The shower was great. The beds were comfortable. There was an on-site laundry which washed and dried clothes within ninety minutes. Breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs and bacon were made to order. There was freshly-squeezed orange juice, bread, pastries and fruit. There was gluten-free Corn Flakes, toasted bread and Santiago cake. Highly recommended.
