How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was all good. A comfortable stay. I can't think of anything that bothered me during my stay.
The room was nice and clean. The bathroom is shared, but there's a sink and a mirror in the room, which is nice. The beds were comfortable, and we didn't really hear that much noise from outside at night. We slept well. The breakfast was okay as well. Just some bread and jam or tomato, with coffee and juice. The location of the hostel is the best !!

It was a bit dusty. And the bathroom is leaking
The location is great! Close to Granada Cathedral and the City Center. The room had a small fridge and a microwave. Towels were changed daily. The personnel are friendly and helpful.

The drain in one of the bathrooms smelt really bad. The noise from the street after hours

Bathroom was awful and not clean. Toilet without seat. Prepare yourself with earplugs because there was a lot of noise.

Quite poor breakfast, quite small rooms and toilets.
In the city center - extremely near to all the city main sights. The staff is nice.

The room was on top a bar that allowed smoking so the room smelled really strongly like cigarette smoke. I'm sure this happens for the rooms on top of the bar, so it was bad luck.
The place is very clean and the location is very good.

All fine really
Location good. Lots of stairs. Breakfast nice, basic. View on balcony was of washing machine etc, but ok. They made up the room each day. Breakfast and reception are in another pension very nearby.

Toliet bowl no cover. Washroom very small. No elevator, climb on many stairs with heavy luggage

Bathrooms had an unpleasant odour of drains. Rooms were all on 3rd floor with no lift - tricky for those with heavy or cumbersome luggage.

All the amenities work just enough. The toilet seat was loose. The flap came off. One of the bathroom doors doesn't lock. The light doesn't work. The bathroom has a nasty smell due to being an old building.
The cleanliness and the location. At the same time the location is horrible, because it is practically next to a school and you can hear children all day long, which is annoying when you just want to have a relaxed day at the hotel. The staff is lovely, but doesn't speak any English.

The bathrooms smelled terrible consistently, and only once was their hot water when I wanted to take a shower. I was there in February and it had old windows which let the cold air in.
It was clean and you could see they worked hard to keep it nice. Good location.
