For the price, especially in San Sebastian, the room is very nice but keep in mind the rooms are quite small (especially the bathroom/shower).

The hotel is very clean and has a very nice location, it’s located almost on the beautiful beach.

our room far exceeded our expectations...we were 4 traveling (1 mom and 3 adult children) and used to having to squeeze into lodging along our journey - here we could spread out, we had a MASSIVE walk-in closet with cubbies and accommodation for all of our clothes/bags, we had a living room with doors to a huge/long balcony (with drying rack for clothes, a bistro set for sitting outside, and a storage armoire with beach umbrella, rafts and buckets), and our large, well-appointed kitchen had a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, espresso maker, hot water boiler, microwave, all detergents and cleaners; the bathroom was spacious/modern/clean and had 2 drawers under the vanity with hairdryer, wall cubbies with tons of towels, hooks for towels and clothing, and a large walk-in shower with glass doors and 2 shower heads, toilet, etc. Modern, clean, attractive, beachy and lovely. Super secure. AND there's an elevator from 1st floor to the rooms (ground level has 8 stairs to the elevator, but there's a stairway wheelchair/"accessible" lift from ground to elevator if needed.

Air conditioning would have been nice. Although there is a balcony there was no patio door, so there was no real benefit to having it. We managed to climb out but it wasn’t that easy due to the radiator being right under the window.

Very close to the main beach and easy walking distance to the main shopping areas and the old town. There was enough room for a couple, staying for a long weekend or slightly longer stay. It was 25 centigrade when we stayed and although there was no air conditioning in our room (101) the ceiling fan proved to be enough to cool the room down. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Very soft mattress, shower temperature had a mind of its own

The bathroom was only a screen door with frosted glass which was not enough to protect my dignity. My poor wife. The bathroom could also use some more ventilation for steam. I think a bit of soundproofing between rooms would help a little. And in the bathroom. Again, my poor wife. All fixable stuff.

Excellent location. Very close to the beach and easy short walk from Amara station. Lovely staff. Shower is really strong, nice after activities. The bed is very comfortable. Smart TV if you want to chill. Free WiFi and password protected.

Even though we put the sign to clean it was not really, only tidied up. But our stay was so amazing that this was only a small thing.

Great location, very spacious room, staff very attentive and kind. The person in the front desk gave us a map and explained us a lot of things. So very kind and attentive. The room was nice, quite big and quiet. There are many nice cafés around the building. If I’m ever back I would hope to stay there again

We don't have any complains

Great location on some 5' by walk from the beach. Also very close from Old town. Very comfortable room. Cleaning every day (this is optional, if you want that). Bed was very large and comfort. Our last day we wanted to stay a couole hourse more in San Sebastian and they accepted to keep our luggage. All the best recomondation for Pension Garate.
