How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It could have been free but then how would they exist?
Close to the bus station, close to the old town and beaches close to everything. It is perfect. Staff awesome, I absolutely loved it. Welcome and advice just wonderful. Im going back!

The property was clean, comfortable and the location was great! Pablo was there to greet me at the property and he was so friendly and helpful. He booked me a taxi and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I will definitely stay again!

For the price it was good. It was a good location.
Basically it was more like an apartment rather than a hotel. We took two grandchildren and it was great for them. (Age 12&13). I thought the divorce was a great idea because they could go back to the place if we wanted to stay and have a coffee. There was no worry about losing the key.

Good location… however it is very close to a railway line although thankfully the trains are not too frequent and not overnight.
Overall a clean and comfortable room. Staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a kettle to use. Good location to access the beach and old quarter.

A little dated and basic but very clean.
Great location easily walkable to all areas of San Sebastián. Friendly staff who were very helpful.

Thumping noises but thankfully they were limited in time. No air conditioning but in June this is still fine

The place is next to a train track with a turn, so it is noisy, which wouldn't have bothered me so much if it wasn't hot outside and the window had to be open through the night. If there was air conditioning, I would have kept the window closed, and there would be no noise.
Good location, short walks to both beaches, old town is 15 minutes away, good variety of restaurants, cafes and shops around too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money!

No AC (2 fans), and sparse toiletries but otherwise great.
This place was wonderful. Perfect location for us between bus & Kursaal. Old town close by. Super cute, clean, comfy. Friendly service. Great value.

Not much, there was a bit of building work nearby but this was not at unreasonable times so it did not affect anything for us
The location was very good, the room was clean and well maintained, it also had a fridge which was helpful. The staff were very helpful and overall it was a great place to stay

No outside window nor visible staircase (elevator only?). We got a great night sleep tho.

The staff is really nice. They helped us for parking at a discounted rate of 23 Euros. Cleaning services are complimentary unlike mentioned on the site. Location is superb. There is a coffee and snack vending machine at the reception. Wifi worked great 👍

The location was great, but what was even better was the staff. Paul was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and left after check-out and were able to leave our luggage at reception. Would definitely recommend this place!

No fan in bathroom, old tv & difficult to watch. We were a couple, but the sofa bed had been pulled out and made-up for additional people, so couldn’t use it as a sofa. Dining chairs were difficult to sit on, as well.
Comfortable bed, excellent location, quiet, good bathroom.
