Great location, good bathrooms, nice staff, overall good value for money

Our room was very hot although we had an open window and a fan, so that made it difficult to sleep.

The Hostal Magec was very clean, smelled nice and was cleaned and maintained daily. The staff was very helpful and nice. I travelled with a friend and we spent a lot of time on the shared terrace with a nice view of the ocean. Location is great.

Didn’t have breakfast - was it included? Very clean all through the property and good facilities. Free tea and coffee was a bonus but there were no teabags in the cupboard when I was there! Would visit again

The view from the top floor was nice. It was spotless clean in the room and the bed was very comfortable.

Only small complaint was changes to tv system since my last visit as I was unable to connect my fire tv stick so had no access to English language television other than news channels which were very repetitive

3rd stay at Magec and every bit as good as on previous stays. Immaculately clean with excellent shared facilities. Staff very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend Hostal Magek for great value and excellent location 👍.

The price wasn't great for a hostel and I had trouble connecting my phone to the TV.

The energy in the hostel is great, a mixed bag of people from all over. I'll be honest and say it was a bit expensive for a place with shared facilities but I'd definitely go back, cos it just had a great buzz around the place.

It was excellent for the money. Felt safe enough. There was a weird musty smell in the room and that would be the only one complain.

I would hope this is taken as positive feedback by the owner. My one grumble is the noise, not by people talking but more doors banging! It is clear that improvements could be made to reduce the noise in the early hours by improving the door mechanism or maybe padding the frame to reduce the sound. Other than that this place is perfect.

This place is brilliant, centrally located and reasonably priced. Ive stayed here before and only this last visit i explored the sun terrace.... wow ... perfect place to sit and chill!

The room with no view but apart from that fine

I really liked it first couple of nights a very small room with a single bed in it with a view looking at a white wall never been to prison but had to be a prison cell three days later moved me to a better room nice double bed comfortable but still the white wall outside with no view l was at Hostel majic for 29days should have had better views if I do go there again l need a shower and toilet

Had some trouble with electric door keys but easily resolved/

Close to centre of town could walk anywhere, never needed a taxi. Top floor room was near balcony, room had own handbasin shared kitchen and toilet and shower was fine and clean only three rooms shared. Staff changed towels and sheets regularly and would change additionally if asked. Camera security was good and when unmanned the front door was secured.

Being next door to the office

The roof terrace, it was immaculately clean I had room number 14 ok for one night like I had, would not want it for a longer period, right next door to staff office, annoying when they are on the phone! Would definitely go back and try the rooms up where the veranda is great view, bit of work going on next door, but didn't really bother me.lovely little location I hadn't seen before on my many visits to the island 🏝️
