- A/C noise - bath design - noise isolation Despite all the goodies above, the hotel had some quirks. The A/C unit in the bedroom was quite old and noisy. No remote for it, only wall adjuster in the other room. Even in its lowest settings the noise was too much to keep it for the night, so the room will keep warm itself up during the night (didn't take long in the 35*C day heat). Bath had a weird design - there was a big non-swivel glass on one side and quite a long towel rack on the other - living just a little gap between the two. If you're tall as me, and didn't aim exaclty for the gap, you risked bumping into one or another. Swiveling glass would definitely be a plus or placing the towel rack in a little different spot (the bathroom was really big). Overall noise isolation was just OK. When morning clean service was starting their work or if you had noisy guests and/or the city started to live up on that particular street - you could hear it. Not a big deal but mentioning it anyway for people who expect total silence in their rooms.

Everything is within a walking distance, and there's also a convenience store right across the street. Everything was clean and spotless. Everything was also kept in good condition, nothing felt too worn or too old. The room size was a massive plus! We were assigned one of the rooms you see with the little gothic window embedded in the wall. In reality it's 2 rooms for the price of 1. The first one is just a little living room with table, two seats, and a desk with a chair. Space is there, the lighting arrangement not so much (only a lamp in the first room). Bathroom was also very spacious and clean, all batroom amenities were in proper working order. Nothing was smelly, the scent was pleasant everywhere. Another massive plus for us were the exterior window blinds. My partner can only sleep with the total darkness in the room, and these allowed just for that. Final plus was the option to check in your luggage until you're ready to depart to airport/train/coach.

The air-con was very loud and the walls are quite thin so you can hear other people bang their doors.

The hotel is in the perfect location, everything in Girona centre is within a 10 minute walk. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very big with everything you could need. The staff were very friendly, helpful and were on the desk 24/7. I would stay again.

Thin walls and single room was not like in the pictures, basically no window because the view was inner wall of the neighbours.

Drinking water was not replaced in bedroom.. it's just you could forget to pick a bottle up on way back to Hotel after being out.

The location, so near to shops,restaurants and everything there was to see. An easy walk from bus/train station. The very comfortable bed and pillows. The beautiful body lotion. Hotels provide shampoo and shower gel and don't give body lotion, but Peninsular did and it was very good quality. The chap at front desk when we arrived late and obliged us by getting us a lovely cup of coffee. Thank you. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast We would recommend this Hotel and be very happy to return.

All minor issues. As I’ve seen other reviews mention, the only plug was across the room from the bed so not the best for charging a phone overnight while also using it for an alarm. The air conditioning did fail one evening and they weren’t able to get it fixed until the morning but it was on again shortly after the start of regular business hours. The sound proofing between the rooms seemed really good, but I could hear hallway noise pretty clearly when others would come and go (but no worse than other places I’ve been).

The location is excellent, right near the old town and a 10 min walk from the train station. It was pretty much exactly what I expected for a single room. It wasn’t huge but there was definitely enough room for me and my suitcase. It was clean and the air conditioning was already on in the room when I arrived (appreciated as it was around 30’C during my stay)

Rubbish was not cleared from the room on one occasion, empty wine bottle and cups. 1 Cafe bar staff showed little interest in our enquiry and seemed in a hurry to end any questions as we did not what to sit and order anything at that time but was enquiring regarding a later visit.
