A guy on reception who was more interested in texting on his phone than dealing with a customer. Which was a shame, as the rest of the staff were excellent.

An exceptionally fine building, blending old and new architecture, design and furnishings. Superb location, lovely restaurant and local walks. Our room was amazing.

Have had better rates for similar paradors, but supply and demand I guess…

Very nice and interesting accommodation. As mentioned, lacking in outside space for relaxing - but that should be known beforehand. Plenty of safe parking for motorcycle.

This is an exceptional hotel in a stunning building amidst a beautiful location. The staff were lovely and attentive and all services provided were top rate. The bedroom was spacious and high quality, and the breakfasts were fabulous, so too the evening meals. A great place to stay.

Be aware that the access to the Monasterio is via a quite steep and narrow road.

Gorgeous and tranquil location on top of a mountain. Beautiful room in old building. Be sure to wander the monasterio and read the plaques for its history. And take a stroll through the woods surrounding the building.

Dinner start a bit late 8:30. I guess I also expected more of a wow factor as well on the menu.

The building is very beautiful. Location is really scenic and relaxing. Staff is friendly. Rooms are big. Breakfast is very good. Spa is also very nice.

Piped music in restaurant, breakfast room, etc could have been more appropriate. There are a lot of great Spanish musicians. 'World pop' seemed out of context.

The parador is beautiful no doubt but a few standard things lacking

Strangely this hotel lacked 2 important and standard things: 1-no coffee maker in the room, like all hotels. 2-Windows with no screens. As someone who gets severe allergic reactions to mosquitos, we had to keep the windows closed even though the outside temperature was not too hot nor cold, which wasn't great since I'm not a huge fan of sleeping with the air conditioner.

Beatiful grounds, the rooms felt more spacious than in the photos and exceeded expectations.

Some of the construction needs a little bit of love Upholstery but overall not much I didn’t like.

Loved loved loved the marriage between modern and monastery. The design was wonderful. Functional and light. The building is well maintained despite the centuries and it was so wonderful to feel so zen. 😀

Our main complaint was the lack of outdoor space - something highlighted by numerous others reviewers. The only open air dining space is a small terrace of about 12 tables at the Los Abades restaurant… you need to be there very promptly when the restaurant opens to be lucky to get one. The cafeteria is entirely indoors with a few tables in a glass- enclosed section of the cloister, and the menu is poor. We ate lunch at the nearby parador in Montforte de Limos one day and the food there was way better. The lack of outside space is the main drawback of this fabulous hotel, it feels a bit claustrophobic as there is no real space to relax outside of your own room , except one small covered terrace with about three sofas.

Stunning property in an amazing location with spectacular views over the Sil river canyon. Spacious, well appointed rooms and the whole place oozes history and atmosphere. A unique experience. We are in the Los Abades restaurant both nights and thought the food excellent.

Felt slightly impersonal as living in a museum. Road to the Parador, not for the feint hearted!

Experiencing an historic location. The quality of the decor. The surrounding woodland and the beauty of the building and courtyard. Parking was good.
