Was a short drive to get into the town of Vielha but the spectacular views made up for it.

Beautifully situated historic hotel where for a slight price increase we were able to upgrade to a balcony room with beautiful view of the mountains. Rooms and bathrooms were lovely and very spacious.

Some noisy maintenance being carried out inside the hotel while we were there, also carpets on the landings looked very stained, and there were signs of wear and tear in the room and bathroom looked a bit tired. we were not given much info from reception when checking in, and could have used facilities if we had been told about them.

Good value Parador, we stayed for two nights on our tour of the Pyrenees, we had a room with a balcony with a great view over the valley down to the town, there is plenty of carparking and the grounds were well maintained. Food was great and the bar and restaurant staff spoke really good English and were all very hard working and attentive, we were especially impressed by the chap that looked after us at breakfast who could swap between several languages depending on who he was serving.

Breakfast service. Hot food was enquired by the waitress as you sat down and it was served within seconds. Didn’t have chance to get anything else beforehand!

Rude receptionist who placed us in the wrong room, I had booked a superior room with a mountain view when I queried it, he told me I was wrong and that booking.com images were incorrect! He eventually gave us another room, as I wouldn’t back down, yes it had a view but it was downgraded, tired, broken floor tiles in the toilet and a radiator hanging off the wall. We decided to stay for dinner, this was an extortionate £89, drinks were expensive and breakfast £20 each! We spent nearly £300 for one night and weren’t allowed access to the spa without paying another £54. One more thing the waiter laughed at me with the other waiters at breakfast because I didn’t know what the wooden tongues were for on the table. I would not recommend staying here, we certainly won’t be back.

Location in bend on main road several kilometres above the town means that you can't go anywhere on foot. Spa (including heated indoor swimming pool) was outrageously priced for hotel guests.

Panoramic views, especially from the dining room; well designed and comfortable seating areas. Ample breakfast, though not cheap, friendly staff.

The hotel is located on the highway heading into Viehla, so a little noisy. Other than that, the views are stunning and it was lovely walking down the hill into town.

The breakfast and dinners were outstanding. The room is spacious and practical. The view is amazing. The staff, including cleaning and serving staff were lovely. We hiked out the door into the mountains.
