How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Madrid. We were a family of two adults and two children, and the place had everything we needed for our 4-day visit, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and a clothing rack. We happened to be there during a heatwave, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us comfortable the whole time. The location is excellent—within walking distance to major attractions, train stations, and bus stops. There are supermarkets nearby, as well as a shop that stays open late for essentials. We felt very safe and really loved the neighborhood. Overall, we highly recommend this apartment for a pleasant and convenient stay in Madrid.

Location of this apartment is superb!!! Close to a metro, busses, large grocery store, sightseeing and great shopping. We absolutely loved it.

The apartment was meticulously maintained. Very organised and the host was really very kind. He even waited till my friend reached in the night, helping with the instructions to the uber driver. Very prompt responses. This is centrally located and has easy access to public transport... A very reasonably priced stay, considering the size of the apartment and it's location. I would highly recomend to anyone travelling to madrid.

Street noise at night, with cars and garbage trucks almost every night past 1:00 a.m may not be ideal for sensitive sleepers.
Location and alot of space with inside the apartment. I loved having a full kitchen with laundry machine. Plenty of electrical outlets in the bedroom were helpful.

Brilliant location in between 2 metro lines. Central to all Madrid tourist sites, but situated so you were not in a location that was too noisy at any time of the day. Met by the host who had time to run through any queries and also recommendations of restaurants, bars and how to reach landmarks. Also left a bottle of wine, water and Coca Cola in the fridge that was welcome bonus.

Because of it's amazing location, the streets nearby can sometimes be a bit noisy, but that is to expected in a central location in a capital city. The apartment building itself is quiet and safe. This can be easily solved by using earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Spacious and clean, in a very central location. Perfect for two travellers who want to see the main sights in Madrid. The host is responsive, thoughtful and has a wealth of great recommendations. We were delayed due to our flights but it was not a problem. Would absolutely recommend for a visit to Madrid.

I wouldn't recommend the sofa couch that much, it's leather, and not that big, so don't count on it for 2 people.
You can't find a closer location to everything than this. Pick a location in the center and it's less than 10 minutes of walking. We never had to use the public transport for anything. Even if you want to use it, walk for 1 minute and you're in a metro station.
