Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNot the fault of the owners. The one thing I noticed is that since you’re right on the street with the balcony overlooking, and there’s not a lot of ambient noise because the town is very quiet, the sounds off the street feel like they magnify. So people walking by talking sound like they’re shouting, and even cars and motorcycles seem quite loud. It didn’t happen often because it is a quiet street and not a main street, but it was noticeable when it did. It also felt like some bells went off every half hour or so, but I couldn’t tell where they were from. If you’re maybe be a little sensitive noise, you might pick the interior unit for that reason.
This is a lovely, unexpected find ( the Olvera AirBnBs we saw online were quite gloomy.) We stayed in the room with a balcony overlooking the street. The room is actually nicer than perhaps the photographs display. The location is excellent. You walk up the street and within two blocks you hit the two most important tourist spots, which are the cathedral and the castle. Excellent views from both. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Olvera, the town is less trafficked than other White Villages. Visit before that changes. This is a charming town that you might pair for a visit with Zahara de las Sierras if you like quiet unhurried places. Owners are lovely, communicative people, with lots of recommendations. The room feels modern and well appointed. The bathroom is spotless and I think newly renovated. Nice breakfast as well—simple but filling and includes fresh OJ. Access to charming roof terrace with views of the cathedral and castle. I would happily stay here again. The owners have done a great job!

AustraliaBe aware that if you are riding a large motorcycle or are not confident in driving, the hills are very steep. Talk to your host before, but there is plenty of flat parking on the right side of the village near the castle
Sherri and Peter were fantastic hosts. They have a beautiful b&b and all the information for whatever you want to do at their fingertips. And Olvera is a beautiful place to visit.

SpainParking is an issue, since there is very little available on the steep and narrow streets nearby, unless you walk down to the free public parking in a lower part of town, where you should plan to park in advance.
Excellent hosts in a beautiful white town, close to main attractions of the Iglesia Mayor, the Moorish castle and great views of the surrounding areas and the town itself.

United KingdomNOT a negative, but as information for fellow travellers..... we booked knowing that there's limited (free) on-road parking close to Number 31 (but you might find a space, as we did on our first night, and it's quite ok to stop outside Number 31 to drop / collect bags if need be). If you don't find a space right by Number 31 then there's plenty of free parking within 7 to 15 minutes walk (although anyone with mobility issues should be aware that there's not much level walking in central Olvera!). We hope this doesn't deter you - it didn't us, and we really enjoyed our stay. Recommended!
Peter & Sherri are super-helpful and welcoming hosts, and Number 31 is a characterful and well-appointed, sympathetically restored property within a short (if steep!) walk of Olvera's main sights and restaurants. The roof terrace is a great place for relaxing whilst enjoying views of the Castle over the rooftops. There's easy road access to/from Seville, Ronda, Antequera and Malaga, as well as other nearby Pueblos Blancos such as Setenil de las Bodegas, Zahara de la Sierra, Grazalema, and to the Sierra de Grazalema and the Via Verde de la Sierra cycleway.

Italynothing at all!
Olvera is a magical place, and this wonderful B&B is just as beautiful as the city. The owners ar very nice and the place is cozy and warm as a private house (as in fact is). Breakfast is simple but very good, there is an incredible rooftop with chairs and beds with an amazing view of the landscape and the old town. Room is big, clean and well equipped with everything you need.

AustraliaLoved the property. We were in Olvera on a Monday night and dinner options were extremely limited.
No 31 was one of the best places we’ve stayed on our Spanish travels. The property was very very comfortable ( bed and shower and lounge chairs in the room) and full of beautiful art and furniture. The location was second to none and we were able to enjoy beautiful Olvera with ease. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious including some local olive oil which was to die for! We loved so many little features that were unique - even the provision of a power plug conveyor with USB and wine & beer. Parking was nearby and fine in the street though do bring your small Peter & Sherri were beyond nice and super informative on things to do.

Push yourself to climb to the top of the castle the views were immense and all for €2. What a beautiful village, a great B&B, breakfast super and all for a few € . A must see / must stay destination.

United KingdomPeter and Sherri are absolutely wonderful hosts. They provided really helpful details about the town and their B&B (for example, it was so nice to be shown how the front door lock worked so we didn't worry about how to open it when returning late at night) and also where to eat and drink (their recommendations were excellent). The breakfast was delicious, with local olive oil and bread. They went out of their way to source gluten free bread for my Coeliac Disease. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. No dust or dirt on my socks after walking around the property, it is spotless and extremely fresh. We will definitely be back!

CanadaThe church bells ringing nine times when it was still only eight o’clock in the morning! And I am writing this with a smile and fond (albeit marginally confused) memories.
Absolutely everything — top to bottom — of our time spent here. Lovely room with a cosy sitting area, well-designed bathroom (efficient & user-friendly), beautiful breakfasts with one of the most elegant service routines I’ve ever experienced, and an additional common area on main floor of the home. The robust and vigorous street parking options. Our hosts provided us with a comprehensive overview of everything we might need. Additionally, Peter & Sherri surprised us with a delicious tray of savoury nibbles that they left outside our room on our last night as we were weighing the options of venturing out into a heavy downpour in search of dinner. It’s those little gestures that you take with you — but completely consistent with the flavour and inclusive tone of our time in Olvera @ No. 31.

CroatiaNothing, just that the parking is public parking in the street, but it is free and there were quite a few empty spaces close by, so not really a problem.
Very welcoming hosts Peter and Sherry, stylishly decorated and spacious room with a view, very nice breakfast, good location in a central but very quiet street, we found a free parking spot right in front of the house.

Our hosts are the most welcoming hosts I think we’ve ever had, the room was spacious, cozy and well equipped, the roof terrace was a great plus with view of the church and castle and the breakfast was quaint and made us feel right at home. If we find ourselves in this part of Spain again, we will definitely be back! Olvera and surroundings has a lot to offer if your into hiking, cycling and great views.
