How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I am still waiting for the ,€50 deposit left on card at reception to be cleared and returned 3 days after leaving the property!

lack of space round pool privacy screening on all windows
modern and clean , tho a little dark with privacy screening on windows. fantastic shower room.

Far away from everything. Windy (top of ridge). Food was very poor value for money (have a lot of nearby to compare with)

We had a quiet stay at Nido. Smaller pool offers less noice. Ample parking on the street. Slow wifi. For the price it is well worth it.

Need to pay deposit without previous notice. Small area around pool. You need car to get up and down to beach. Need renovation. 90-ties style. 83eur night worth 40. I tried to do last minute travel and its a big mistake-you never find good places to stay in Gran Canaria. It is overbooked also after New Year vacations. Places which cost 30eur will ask you 90 eur for 1 night stay.
Rooms are both directions-pool and ocean view. Cool. Nice view to pool. Was possible to find parking for free.

Unfriendly staff, if you are not all inclusive you do not really matter to them. The need to pay a deposit is not specified anywhere, they tell you about it only when you arrive there. Cleaning lady does not respect the sign we hang on the door outside and she tried to forces the door to get it.

Food was generally only luke warm at meal times. Seems like it was put out well in advance of buffet opening.
The staff were extremely friendly. Rooms very comfortable. Lots of choice at meal times and 2 pool areas had ample sun loungers. Europa Centre literally 30 seconds walk from the hotel and small shopping centre located at apartments next door

The pools are not accessible for dissabled people, so they need to have safe steps and a hand rail not just ladders to access the pool
The cleanliness and staff were very helpful the complex is very well looked after

We had self service breakfast each day which was very good , we only had one dinner which was only average ,we had intended to eat out so cannot comment on other meals . no other dislikes .
It was quiet ,and sunny , we met nice neighbours . it was frequently serviced which was nice .

I did not have a Balcony even though I thought I had booked it originally with Booking.com. I checked at Reception and was told that they allocate the Apartments and that I should have entered the request in the 'Special Request' section when booking. (Never had to do this before!!) Windows and Doors had frosted glass which meant I could not see outside unless they were open. It also made the Apartment more dark. Because of the location of the Apartment, the sun was not able to shine into the Apartment anytime of the day.

Far to many steps not good for disabled or prams Room had a wiered smell kitchen only had one plug socket shower went cold very quickly

There was nothing not to like or maybe a bottom door runner would make it easier to lock the door. But that is nit picking
Reception staff were very helpful and held our bags before check in. The buffet breakfast caters for all and was constantly topped up. Would totally recommend this hotel and we hope to stay there again.

No hot water at all, had to have cold showers for 10 days. Bedroom window on someone else’s bakcony. Could not ever open curtains and could not sleep because of people talking on the balcony. The positioning/design of apartment was extremely poor. Would not stay there again..
