How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The street outside could get a little noisy at times. Otherwise, everything was great.
The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-decorated, with plenty of natural light. The location was excellent—close to restaurants, shops, and public transport, which made it very convenient for exploring Barcelona. The check-in process was smooth, and communication with the host was quick and helpful.

We couldn’t access the balcony and were told off for being too loud a few times by security on the first night - but it was explained to us that there are rules about noise etc. so that was our bad.
The property was large, bright and airy. It was comfortable and w head plenty of space. There were lots of bathrooms which was useful as a big group. The kitchen was clean and function-able. The location was absolutely perfect.

2 bedrooms were not equipped with ACs and the bathrooms are quite old.

A very minor criticism but would have been nice to have a cafetiere or coffee pot to use - there is a nespresso machine however.
The apartment was very bright and spacious, perfect for groups. The kitchen was well equipped and just across the road from a large supermarket. Very near a metro stop and lots of nice bars, cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.

the solution of the rooms and the bathrooms were problematic. there was only bedroom with a bathroom. The others had to solve somehow this problem. this was true for the toalets as well.
the location was excellent. the check-in was solved perfectly. the kitchen was o.k.

Location good in terms of walking distance to bus station, Plaza Catalunya but the area is getting run down. We were warned on multiple occasions to be vigilant as there were many thefts on that street. Many large groups partying in the building - singing, shouting, banging doors and loud footsteps until 4am every night. Leak in the kitchen (we think from the bathroom) - had messaged after-hours number with no response.
Very large apartment with full kitchen, laundry and 3 bathrooms. Regina (who checked us in) was friendly and very helpful. Overnight security in the lobby helped us when we were approached by sketchy people outside while waiting for a car. Mercadona grocery store downstairs.

One of the rooms is much smaller, and so is one of the toilets, luckily we have two guys who didn't mind taking the small toilets.
Regina was very helpful and very responsive on chats. She gave great instructions on how to get to the apartment and what's nearby. She was also very nice to have waited for us due to our late arrival. The apartment is very spacious and clean and centrally located. The kitchen is spotless, we managed to cook one meal during our stay.

Excellent communication from the hosts regarding accessing the keys. Outstanding location - near to a tube station, restaurants and a supermarket. Very clean and huge bedrooms and areas for socialising.

We didn't have any formal bag drop optoins as there was no reception so organizing a time where everyone would be able to come at the same time to drop their bags was a bit tricky but in the end it worked out perfectly
Someone was waitinng for us at the property at the agreed time, to do the bag drop as we were early, and we ended up being able to check in early which was great! Easy process, and very nice appartment - excellent location and large living spaces. Light, clean apartment - worked very well for our needs!

Our family of 5 (grandad and young adult children) stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Location is outstandingly good, walkable to everything except Parc Guell, safe and quiet. Excellent personal welcome with host, and prompt response when required. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had great street views and sunlight. Would love to return and stay again!

Had a drain problem but it was very quickly dealt with by admin.
Perfect location - short walk to supermarket, subway, city centre, shops and a variety of eateries. Large rooms, high ceilings. Kitchen had all the required appliances. Adequate space and seating for our group of 8. Excellent communication from admin.

Showers - the one with the connecting bedrooms had a seal on the door that didn't stay on which caused water to pool on the floor. The other shower is kind of dangerous. It's slippery, and needs to have some sort of handle in the shower. The location is great, but keep in mind that this is a busy area. Noisy with lots of traffic and people walking late at night. Close to the grocery store.

balcony was probably a little tiny for what the place is but really nothing bad to say
huge place! 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms smack in the middle of the city. fit 8 of us comfortably! what more can i say Only thing is only 3 of the bed rooms have ac + the living room . but beds are movable between rooms
