How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewTraditional, older hotel in the centre of Antequera with parking available at a reasonable price. Beds are doubles not king size. Staff are lovely and very helpful. If you don’t like street noise take an inside room.

Verified reviewFantastic location, friendly staff and fair value for money. Food in restaurant downstairs was excellent value for money. Hotel rooms regularly cleaned.the shared areas between the rooms were full of character.
The room was difficult to locate because it was like a rabbit warren with lifts and stairs. Our first room was 101 but there were rooms of this number on both the first and second floor. This room was acceptable with two single beds and window looking onto the street onto opposite windows. There was ample storage but the drawers were broken and kept coming off the rails. The water pressure was high and the shower spray would not stay on the hook then while showering the whole bathroom flooded and went into the bedroom too. With my husband naked in the shower couldn’t get help so I spent half an hour on my hands and knees mopping it up with the bathmat but we found the water was still pouring out from the wall and not the shower. I went downstairs to report the water was still leaking and they said they would send someone which they eventually did but it was 7:30 in the evening and I still hadn’t had my shower . I then asked to change rooms (not offered until I asked) we were given another room on a higher floor but it was smaller and inferior but at least we moved all our luggage which we had to repack and I could have my shower. We felt very unsafe in this room though because in an emergency there was no means of escape - the inside window just looked out onto an interior inaccessible space. Sadly being on a higher floor we must have been next to the water storage because every time someone used water for washing hands, the toilet or shower there was a loud noise that went on for a few minutes and kept us awake at night. The owner did give us a free cornetto each after our meal as an apology, Sadly our flood experience was just something that happened and spoilt our stay. Had this not happened I would probably have reported that this 2 star hotel was a cheap place to stay in Antequerra with an excellent location.

Verified reviewFabulous location, friendly staff, lovely, very tasty food, big room, modern TV(meaning i can edit the language to suit), the ladies match was shown at the bar 👏👏, easy parking for car. Great shops nearby, and yes, the next door convent was silent, no bells ☺️. A wraparound balcony with seating. Breakfast is not included but is available. Parking costs 10 euro a night, so the whole stay was pretty great value. The building itself has some charming features 🤩
Parking: you have to stop illegally at first to gain the garage key. The streets are very noisy at night for mopeds etc, the sound really reverberates on the stone walls. Bed is SQUEAKY! Don't wash your hands at night, the plumbing roar will wake the house up. No hot water available at night?..We couldn't exit the garage, didn't find a way to fit the funny key in there, luckily a friendly neighbour let us out. The pillows are quite old i think, i was battling them into some kind of a shape..not the best

Verified reviewSuper location, great value, the restaurant downstairs is terrific and the staff are really super. Lots of character and an enjoyable place from which to explore Antequera.
Potentially noisy (walls and doors not very soundproof), creaky beds, dodgy shower - but perfectly fine for the price.

Verified reviewFairly large room with pretty much most things. Even had a working fridge. Decent sized bathroom. Shower was plenty large enough to move around in. Shower doors were a little tricky. View out onto the street when required. Decent lighting.
Power points would leave your phone dangling if you didn't have a long cable. Lack of any power for half a day, but NOT the fault of the hotel. Loss of power due to the national grid, but no information or posters anywhere. Such is life.

Verified reviewWe loved staying in this unique hotel in downtown Antequera. The staff is lovely, and it is so nice to have a restaurant in the facilities. We were given a room overlooking the street, and... because it is Semana Santa. I got to see a procession go past our balcony. Sadly, the weather was not warm enough to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by from the balcony.
Some folks complained about the noise, and it did get a little noisy when the parade was forced inside the restaurant because of rain, we shut the windows, and it was fine.
