Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe sales people who made out that they were giving you a special treat but then only giving it you if you sit down with them for 40 minutes of your holiday so they can try and sell you something- I’m on holiday I don’t want to waste any time. Found ourselves avoiding seeing them. Actually found it really annoying and sleazy, spoke to another couple who felt that after sitting with them for 20 minutes and not going through with anything felt their demeanour changed. Had to pay for water bottles from the mini bar yet if you were all inclusive you and asked for a couple of bottles at the bar they were exactly the same and free- ridiculous!
Really nice hotel. The all inclusive food and drink was brilliant. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and smart. The pool area and around the hotel was beautiful, really loved it and felt super relaxed and clean, never had an issue with getting a sun bed, the daily activities were fun too.

PortugalOn one day, there were no towels available on the pool and the staff did not resolve the issue; some guests reserve sunbeds with towels in the early morning; the pool entertainment was unnecessary, as most people prefer to relax; the view from our room was poor, overlooking a lot with containers; the beach is nearby, but it’s always uphill (about 15 minutes walking). The VIP pool doesn’t offer much privacy, so it seems unnecessary in an adults-only hotel.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and excellent quality overall. The breakfast was very rich, with a wide variety of options. The restaurant downstairs (I don’t recall the name) was very good. The pool is excellent , with a pleasant water temperature. Parking nearby is easy. There were also some very nice paintings for sale at the entrance of the hotel.

SerbiaUnfortunately, in our room at least, some facilities were a bit broken - the toilet paper holder fell off the wall and the toilet was being filled with water for a long time and sometimes we could not flush. The internet connection was constantly dying but they were not hesitant to help us and they promptly sent a technician every time we needed help. This has nothing to do with the hotel but the way the island is topologically and the hotel is built on a slope, it takes a long time to leave it and get to the main or secondary gate if you're not close to it. Due to the sheer size of the hotel there's just a lot to walk through.
The food was exceptional, the staff was amazing. Overall it's very clean, with a nice bathroom. The food in the hotel is AMAZING, it is even beyond AMAZING. The restaurant is INCREDIBLE, literally we were in awe of the food for the first three days and then we were just enjoying it.

CroatiaThe food was decent, but just that – decent. Dinners in the main restaurant were fine, with plenty of options, but the menus repeated quite a lot. Breakfast at “The Level” was good, but there wasn’t much variety. The resort itself is on a hilly area, so during the first few days you need to figure out how to get from one part to another. The elevators don’t connect the entire hotel, so you often have to go from one side to the other. The cocktails, in my opinion, weren’t very good, except for the Aperol Spritz and Mojito. The other cocktails were too sweet.
The hotel’s location is great, the pool in the “The Level” area was excellent, clean, and sunbeds were always available. Beautiful views from the lounge bar and the main restaurant. The staff were extremely kind, especially Natalia (the host), who was always present, polite, and full of warmth and professionalism. The location itself, set on a hillside with many steps, hidden yet well-lit paths, waterfalls, and little corners to spend time in, is just perfect.

United KingdomNot enough sun beds, and no policing of the 1 hour reservation policy! Even after getting back to the hotel from a day out at 4pm, there was often no free beds. Lots of towels down, but no one using them - this was very frustrating.
Refurbished to a good quality. Pool area was really nice. Breakfast and food was good.

TurkeyThere was nothing that i didn’t like. The hotel is set on top of a hill. So from the beach, we needed to walk up the hill to reach to the hotel. But it was manageable in my opinion.
The hotel was very clean, breakfast was rich and staff were really kind and helpful.

United KingdomDinner for gluten free is not ideal on the options provided in the all inclusive restaurant. Unlike breakfast (which is excellent for gluten free) you will need to speak to the staff to arrange options.
Staff are excellent they make the hotel along with the facilities.

United KingdomThe wine selection could be better (and also the food choices).
I had a wonderful solo stay at Meliá Jardines del Teide. The hotel itself is very nice, with beautiful grounds and attentive service that made me feel right at home. A highlight for me was a fantastic massage that left me completely relaxed. I also want to give a special mention to Leyla, who works as a hostess—she went out of her way to make me feel welcome and offered great suggestions that enhanced my experience. Highly recommend!

United KingdomIt was a shame that there were very few vegan options at both restaurants. We felt the buffet dinner did not offer enough of a vegan choice either for the cost. However, it seemed to cater really well for non-vegans. We found it stressful securing a sun bed by the pool and had to get there early to put our towels down. There did not seem to be enough shade so we could not stay out very long. I felt unwell one day, so we went back to the room and then left the hotel for lunch. When we returned, someone had removed our towels and left them on the floor and had taken our sun beds. Not the hotel's fault, but if there were more sunbeds, this might not have happened.
We loved the hotel. It was pure luxury to us. The breakfast was amazing and offered lots of options. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was heaven and the food at the Cosa Nostra was delicious! The room was comfortable and clean. The nightly entertainment was great fun and the bar/patio was perfect to relax in and have a cocktail or two. We would stay again.
