Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandAbsolutely nothing to dislike
A beautiful hotel with plenty of character and spotlessly clean. I upgraded and got an amazing room with a beautiful view. We didn't book breakfast, but got coffee and tostada each morning which was good value. Hotel photos are exactly as you will find the hotel. Free parking was a great bonus. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back.

United KingdomNothing all was good. They had a town festival with a large gathering outside which was not great for sleeping but then again that's not the hotel fault
Beautiful hotel full of character. Large and comfortable room very close to town square. Staff very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Had a great evening meal.

GermanyWould of loved another night there!
Nothing but 10's for this charming hotel in the middle of the small historical city. We were able to pull up in front to unload and had a nice private parking place nearby. The personel were all so very friendly and the hotel and our room were so very welcoming. Lots of attention to detail. We booked half pension and are so glad we did. Our dinner was exceptional!

SpainTired A/C unit in my room. Annoying liquid soap dispensers. No hair dryer (available on request). Fluctuating room rates... Streets slippery when wet.
Comfy quality rooms in a historic building. Nicely refurbished hotel, pleasant bar, convenient free parking up the street. Excellent lighting in my room. Very central.

OmanPerfect location for visiting family. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfast was superb - far more than I could eat - cheese, local ham, fruit, toast and coffee and proper fresh orange juice. The room was simple but the bed was incredibly comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. Parking is easy and they will show you where to go - not easy in an old town with narrow streets! Totally recommend this hotel.

Ukraine538/1500 Переведенный текст Hotel in an old palazzo in the centre of the historic town (unfortunately the owner does not give any information about the history of the building, this would be interesting). Fantastic lobby with columns. The room is very modest, with a badly closing door (this was surprising because it doesn't match at all what you see when you enter the hotel). In the same building is a colourful restaurant with very good service. Parking on the next street (they give you a pass at the hotel). Moving around the city by car, including getting to the car park, requires a certain level of willfulness on the part of the driver

This was truly like staying in a palace. We loved everything about it. The room was very spacious with comfortable beds. The receptionist was very helpful with the parking closeby. The breakfast was also very nice. We had coffee and tostada and it was beautifully served.

United KingdomGreat location in the town as long as you don’t mind driving on very narrow streets. Has a convenient car park just a few hundred yards away. Hotel has plenty of character and the breakfast is so big you would need a phenomenal appetite to finish it all off. A short walk down the hill gets you into the main square with plenty of options for an evening meal if you don’t want to eat in the hotel.

GibraltarNothing! The hotel and the town itself exceeded our expectations; we got exactly what we wanted—a nice quiet break away just the 2 of us, exploring something totally new to us.
We loved everything about our stay. Every single member of staff there was exceptional! We booked the suite on a half-board basis; some dishes had a supplement charge but were well worth it. It was amazing! Good food choices at the hotel's restaurant, "Cabeza Del Toro.". Beautiful architecture within the hotel keeping to most of what the building was, an old Palacio (Palace), very central to every tourist site, the museums, monasteries, churches, main street, castle. Big bonus: the hotel has parking for guests if you're driving there yourself. I cannot stress this out enough. The staff you currently have are an exceptional team, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Beautiful historic building tastefully restored. Bar area and restaurant very atmospheric. Good location for all the sites in the town. Parking is a plus point but directions to the parking should be given before arrival. Bedrooms large and the large beds are very comfortable.

United KingdomAs other comments have pointed out, access by car is tortuous though once we reached the hotel they were helpful in directing us to the carpark uphill. Medina Sidonia is badly signposted altogether - not the hotel's fault - and finding our way out of town was also tricky!
We enjoyed the spacious room and bathroom overlooking the street, the comfortable bed, historic features also the interesting public spaces on the ground floor. The breakfast was generous and varied with kind waiters.

United KingdomI wish we had planned to stay here a few more nights!
This is a stylish, and beautiful hotel in a wonderful classic hilltop Pueblo Blanco. The town has narrow, steep streets never really planned for cars. The hotel has a drop off spot for luggage and a large private car park nearby. We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a road trip around Andalusia. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff who served breakfast, bar and restaurant were really friendly. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Try the walk around the towns historic sights, (map provided by reception). The big church of Santa Maria on the hill is well worth a visit if you like medieval art.
