In the middle of summer and a Saturday night, the place was very quiet. They had already run out of ice cream,like it was the end of the season. The spa and jacuzzi were closed for maintenance at the busiest time of the year! It seemed difficult to get service from the wait staff. They were disinterested and when I approached them on all occasions, not the other way round, the service was slow.

The size of the rooms are great and the facilities available in the room too.

I think that the pools and parts of the property could have been maintained a bit better, especially the external pool and the ceiling of the spa.

The outdoors areas of the property are stunning! The breakfast was very well done. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially the two ladies that were at breakfast and lunch- we are grateful for the great service they provided! It is a kids friendly establishment.

The outside bedrooms could do with a makeover, our room was massive and lovely old style but new curtains and a lick of paint would go a long way to freshen the place up a bit. The same for the indoor spa area.

This place was beautiful. The building, the grounds (really well kept), the outdoor pool and the facilities. We stayed an extra night. It was walking distance to the medieval village of Pals. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the restaurant but the potential as a venue for a wedding or some sort of celebration is huge. The reception guy on the first night was really helpful and friendly.

Lack of staff (there was no one tending either bar). A little dated in areas (could do with some maintenance and tlc). The walls were very thin and we could hear everything from both sides (soundproofing needed). The indoor pool could do with a clean.

Beautiful communal pool areas. Picturesque grounds and surrounding areas. Lots of space to relax inside and outside the hotel. Rooms are spacious.

We booked the top suite and when we arrived we learned that it was two steep stairs to reach the room, which was not easy and heavy some days. The staff could make a better job. There was a young man which was very nice, one was average and there was a lady that was very rude and unhelp full. She was even upset when we asked for help with the luggage at checkout. Two floors by stairs with the luggage was not in our plan and for the price we paid. She helped with one bag but refused to help with a second (we had to take it with my wife on our own.) I do not except this for this kind of hotel.

Very poor internet and when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, the area and lawn were littered with the proof of a large party under a massive party tent.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and of high quality, strongly recommended. The hotel is much bigger then expected, there are two rows of rooms in the garden for a total of around 25 plus rooms in the old main building that is very characteristic. All rooms in the garden are ground level, spacious and with a terrace without a view. The internet/wifi was very poor in the garden rooms, If you plan to use it from your room, try another hotel. The location is very quiet but doesn't invit an evening walk to the old town s road are dark. Car transport in the evening is required.

Certain areas of the property are a bit dated. The restaurant only offers a closed menu at night and breakfast is a tad expensive, which makes the whole stay a bit expensive compared to the value of what you get. The restaurant was actually almost empty despite it being the peak of august.

Mas Salvi is an oasis of calm right by the best villages in Baix Emporda. The hotel is really nice, the service is good and the restaurant serves tasty typical food from the area. We stayed in a junior suite which is spacious and had an amazing view of the sunset.

Clean your facilities during the night.. pool restaurant, swimming pool area.. at 10 AM going there and still looking at the mess and dirt… absolutely not acceptable

The quality of food it’s good and the rooms are big and clean.. the property I’d beautiful but.. it is nit managed professional or 4 stars. The swimming pool area it’s disaster.. in the morning you find the wet towels and all the dirt and mess from the night before.. many children for only one small pool at 5 cm from the terrace… you eat, meantime they are still cleaning the floor of the restaurant and the screaming kids around.. poor management

It’s felt that the hotel lacks staff, because the waiter tried to be at the bar, which is in a separate room, and to serve meals in the dining room at the same time. There was no view from the room, because there was tall bushes all around.

Property was clean and the garden and area around was very beatuiful. Swimming pool was great and we used it to swim in the morning and in the evening. Location is perfect.

I requested two single beds, but the our bed was made as one double bed. The spa and the bathroom is full of mold. I can't understand why they are not cleaning it properly... It was quite offputting. Neither the jacuzzi or the sauna was hot enough. Obviously they are trying to cut costs everywhere possible...

The price related to the quality of the room was exorbitant. Very overpriced. The hotel not only needs a renovation but the room feels like a prison cell in the sense that there is only one window (the patio door) with no "view" aside from the wall of ugly greenery that serves as a wall on your patio, and the patio itself is quite inclosed - I don't know who would want to hang out on this patio. Moreover, the design, the finishes in the room are antiquated (not in a rustic sense but from the 90s) and needs an update, especially when these room feel like barracks. There is massive potential here but a shame how they built these rooms to feel like barracks.

The place itself is quite pretty. Outside of the room you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, everything very green and rustic.
