Power went off at night so the AC quit, but the room stayed cool enough even though we stayed during a heat wave.

Owners make you feel at home in their 600+ year old farmhouse restored to perfection. Full of curiosity and charm, this gem won't soon be forgotten. Breakfast was served at the requested time and was generous. If you like history, beauty and rustic decor, this is your place. We loved it. I would stay for more nights if we could. So many little discoveries which made our stay an experience. The owners are excellent hosts.

We wish we'd been able to stay longer!

Absolutely fabulous stay, our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. Literally nothing was too much trouble! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, immaculately clean and spacious, with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the spectacular garden. Parking was secure, within the grounds of Mas Gibert The breakfast was delicious, using locally sourced ingredients and homemade preserves, which were lovely. The setting was tranquil with beautiful places to walk our dog. We would very highly recommend!

Maybe lack of air conditioning in the room - that was eventually fine with the ventilation, but in hot days it might be hard. Coffee / hot water machine very basic.

The landlords are very nice and helpful people. The place is spotlessly clean. A very tasty breakfast with some home-made stuff. Perfect choice for those looking for a quiet holidays. There are two guest rooms only - no crowds which we liked. Parking availability - no problem at all. Nice garden area, available for guests as well.

Mas Gibert is run by the friendliest, most charming hosts who make you feel very welcome from the beginning. The house is fascinating, and is situated in an idyllic landscape 13 minutes driving from Girona. The room was spotless and cared for with great detail, just like the breakfast. We wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone.

The owners, Ignasi and Salvi, were welcoming by opening their beautifully restored, centuries old farmhouse that exposed its architectural history - a decades long labor of love by the owners. The house is spacious and filled with interesting antiques that tell a story from another time. Our ensuite room was very comfortable and clean and felt very private, being located upstairs in a separate wing of the house. The breakfast was amazing, which included farm to table ingredients, like fresh baked breads and home made jams. The free parking is private and secure inside the gated private courtyard of the property. It's a tucked away location, but an easy, short drive to downtown Girona. This was, by far, one of our best and most memorable experiences of all our world travels. Truly a special place owned and operated by caring and hospitable owners. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Muchos gracias.

Exceptional friendliness and super clean. Also every details of decoration are well thought . Very friendly with our labrador. We did not want to go out for dinner and they provided us with bread and wine(we had the cheese!). We will be back. Thank you.

We were treated like family, and nothing was too much for our generous hosts. There are only two guest rooms in the old mas, and the care and attention provided are exceptional. The decor is a fabulous mix of classy nostalgia with contemporary comfort, not to mention the stunning garden with its Dali-esque touches. Breakfasts were copious. The location is very handy for its proximity to the main freeway, to Girona, as well as the Garrotxa volcanic zone park.

Wow - what little jewel of a place - our hosts were amazing and so welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we left . We wish we could have stayed longer (our dog actually did not want to leave !) as it’s such a charming peaceful individual home , where every corner tells a story . The place is spotlessly clean , comfortable beds and delicious breakfast (the home made jams are delicious) . We will definitely be back - loved everything about it and Salvi and Ignacio are charming welcoming hosts. Thank you both .
