- The woman who got me into the place was wonderful: helpful and kind. Not only with the accommodation but also with getting me to an amazing winery (those who want to enjoy a nice tour and understand how wine was stored / preserved in the past, as well as, taste some amazing wines, ask the host) - The hotel is nice and the room has all that a person / couple need for a few days - Nice view from the window - In a central location that allows comfort from noise but also proximity to the central square of the Briones - Parking is outside

The hotel notes EV charging available and that is not in the property but in the plaza close buy (50 m away), which was not working. When I asked if the charging station was working (prior to arrival), I was told it was at the plaza. When I got there, it was not working. So, it should be informed that it is not in the hotel.

The hotel is well located, very comfortable and right in the middle of the pueblo/town. The restaurante had delicious food but there weren't many options for picky eaters (e.g. kids). Friendly staff.

Beautiful setting, authentic Spanish life. Tastefully furnished. Straightforward instructions and details. Liked the fact that we didn't have to check out ..simply leave the key when we left

Some of the style points get in the way of functionality — the beautiful shower has a floor that's very slippery at first, but there's no bar to hold on to. Similarly, the stairs going up to the room have simple glass partitions with no handrail. Also, some of the pieces in the room were not being maintained: our chair was a bit loose, and the lamp covers on the wall had something on them. The wifi wasn't great, either.

The location was perfect, and the corner room was large, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Handy hotel in small hilltop town with lovely views across the Rioja valley. Hospitable owner who meets you at door so you need to organise a time to arrive in advance.

I reserved a single room for 54 euro and they put me in a double room in the basement and charged 69 euro. The room was large, but not very clean. The bathroom was unfinished.

I did not have a long enough stay to like anything.

We left messages on their landline and mobile but never had a reply. Nobody there to greet us so we had no choice but to find another hotel. We will challenge any attempt to charge us.

No reception area to check in. Having to call someone when we arrived. It’s very very minor. Everything is great !

The location is close to bars and restaurants. Parking is easy. Super clean and comfy bed. Aircond AND ceiling fans? This is too good. Wifi is good.

That the owner was so rude to us when we arrived. She had a family member she needed to get to the bus station and she spared nothing in letting us know what an inconvenience we were. The hotel smelt of sewage. I suspect when the building is closed the pipes dry out and the air from the sewer seeps into the rooms? The coffee machine in the lounge didn't work - there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. There was no separate kettle in the lounge. This really was a 'bed and that's it' sort of place. The only thing saving it is the location.

The fact that the hotel was empty. The village and the area is lovely. The cafe called La Abadia scores five stars in my book.

The room was on the ground level which was very noisy. Had only one window that could open. There was no proper hanging cupboard. The pillows were terrible. Although it is a hotel, there is no reception
