Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe big pool, which is one of the attractions of the hotel, was massively overbooked in the mornings, and kind of ruined the experience a bit. The first day we simply could not use it at all. It should have some form of booking system, because many people "reserve their seats".
The breakfast was extraordinary, the organisation of the venue, the location, the cleanliness... even the smell was fantastic. The room size was also fabulous, and the shower and cleanliness. One of the best places I've ever stayed in.

IrelandWe had a Mountain View and were woken up a lot by the bar/club across the road, one day the music was still going at 6am. The windows need an update to block out the sound. Other family members had a sea view room about the main outdoor area. It was quite noisy too when there were performers but it was always finished by 11pm. Some days the room wasn’t cleaned until 3/4pm. Perhaps there could be someone monitoring the buffet queues or some kind of better system. If you went at a busy time, a couple of the stations had queues but it wasn’t clear which queue was for what and lots of people skipped.
Clean Comfortable Lots of activities Amazing swimming pools Staff Food We saw loads of comments complaining about the food so we were a bit nervous but it was delicious. The dinner buffet had something different every night and there was so much to choose from. The staff were all very friendly and always made our 2 year old smile. The main lifeguard at the quiet pool was great and very nice.

IrelandThe gym facilities start late in the morning (8am). Pillows are very high and hard with no choice for softer or lower pillows

DenmarkThe whole time we were there they had problems with the towel company so we could not get any towels for the pool. The hotel staff would not help us or other people in that matter. You had to pay for the padel/tennis court, rackets and balls. We asked for rooms next to each other, but did not get it. They could only give us rooms on the same floor.
The breakfast was good, but not a lot of vegetarian options. The staff at the breakfast was extremely rude. They didn't speak English and did not want to understand you at all.

United KingdomPool bar menu is a little basic for a 5 star hotel.
Enormous pools so didn’t feel crowded even though it was the height of summer. Exceptionally clean throughout the hotel at all times. Spa is fantastic and well priced. Really good location and beautiful surroundings.

United KingdomOnly thing I’d suggest is changing the breakfast buffet up a little bit. Was the same everyday for a week, would have liked a little more variation.
The resort is amazing, especially the pools. Spent half my holiday floating around the lazy river. The quality of the food and drinks is also outstanding, the best buffet I’ve ever had as well as the best Paloma. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The systems in place make it easy to pay for food, drinks etc.

SwedenThere is a beautiful patio space with a stunning view which is just out from the main hotel lobby bar. I didn't like that they had kids club evening activities here and also felt the evening entertainment should be away from the lobby bar. That would mean there's always somewhere peaceful to relax with a book and drink.
Absolutely loved this resort - it's stunning! I was a solo traveller and wanted somewhere I could blend in and here I felt was the perfect place for that. The pools are fantastic and I loved spending time at the quiet pool then go to the busier pools if I wanted to. The spa was exceptional - one of the best I've ever been in (and that's saying something!). It's an extra cost but really worth it.

NetherlandsWhat could be improved: • There was a kettle in the room with tea, milk, and sugar — but surprisingly, no instant coffee. • Breakfast and dinner were quite repetitive, with little variety. • Both meals included a lot of pork, which may not be suitable for all guests. It would be nice to have more inclusive food options.
Our room was spacious, clean, and located in one of the best parts of the hotel. • Housekeeping was excellent – the room was cleaned regularly and thoroughly. • The pool areas and gardens were beautiful and very well-maintained. • Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and enjoyable.

SpainMy only small suggestion: adding a Nespresso machine in each room would elevate the experience even further.
My stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras in March with friends was simply unforgettable. The entire property is a tribute to elegant luxury — from the luscious, meticulously maintained gardens to the beautifully designed spaces that inspire you at every turn. The dining experiences were equally impressive, with delicious and beautifully presented food. Every corner of the hotel radiates charm and sophistication, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy.

United KingdomOn previous stays there, I’ve experienced a fair bit of noise from the floors above as most of the surfaces are hard so if you’re a light sleeper, the sound of shoes on the floor above or of people dragging balcony furniture can echo around. That’s simply a design issue and earplugs generally solve it.
The hotel is in an excellent location, half an hour from the airport and overlooking the beach. It has many restaurants and shops nearby and has a number of swimming pools, jacuzzis, a gym/spa and plenty of sun beds. The hotel is incredibly clean and spacious with huge rooms, everything you might want for a comfortable stay (toiletries, hairdryers, safe, fridge, air con) and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied (we didn’t eat there in the evening) and there are a number of onsite restaurants and pool bars with snacks, light meals and drinks (and these are good value). Overall, it’s a great experience and we had a lovely stay.

United KingdomWe had an exceptional experience during my recent stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that we were well looked after throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel itself was immaculately clean, with every area maintained to the highest standard, which did not go unnoticed and truly enhanced our comfort. The team were also highly organised and professional, handling all requests efficiently and with a positive attitude. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was clear at every stage. I would not hesitate to return and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a high-quality, seamless stay.

United StatesThe only two small things I did not like about the resort was that the pillows were too high for my neck (I like to sleep with a daun pillow). The resort could use an upgrade on the children’s playground and offer a few more activities to older children (i.e., game room, check out board games, hangout area). Other than that the resort was fantastic!
We really liked the fact that the resort had so many locations for sitting by the pools. We also really enjoyed the lazy river pool that felt warmer than the other pools. The resort had so many options for families to meet during the evening to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance together. The evening programs offered entertainment every night for the guests to watch. The selection of buffet food offered every day for breakfast and dinner gave enough options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. At almost every location by the pools there were bars/cafes to get snacks and drinks. Prices were reasonable. Everyday there was a beach towel drop off location to deposit wet towels and in return you could pickup dry beach towels. The resort offers for a small fee additional pillows that can match to your liking. There is a small grocery store on site that an array of supplies that you might want on vacation. There are three tennis courts, one pickle ball court and a small playground (children 1 1/2 years old to 4 years old). There is a kid’s club there but I would consider it more so like a small daycare facility. The resort is about 7-8 minute walk to the beach. Make sure to get to the beach early (8:00) enough to reserve the layout chairs and the sun umbrellas. If not you will be sitting on the sand without shade.
