No real dislikes but: A lighter meal option on the menu and more varied fruit and cereal for breakfast (would make it more interesting for gluten free eaters). The drains need cleaning in room 2. They left a foul smell in the bathroom. Otherwise the bathroom facilities were great and the shower the best I have had all holiday.

Location was perfect for hiking and accessing the railway. All inclusive dinner menu was great and made life super easy. Staff were all super friendly and accommodated our awful attempts at speaking Spanish/Catalan.

Nothing really.

It's very nicely located for those arriving with the cremallera train to/from Nuria, yet very quiet. You have a lovely view to the mountains from the terraces or balconies in the rooms. These are also spacious. The place also dubbs as a restaurant, with very nice food and an affordable menu. Breakfast with several Basque cold cuts and tortilla. Staff was very accommodating, allowing us to keep our interrail luggage there as we went hiking for 3 days in the nearby mountains. Thank you so much!

The squeaky bed.

This hostel is in a beautiful location in the mountains in Queralbs. This is as close as you can get to Vall de Núria by car. The hostel is literally a 5 minute walk away from the übercute Queralbs railway station, from where you can take the train up to Vall de Núria. The room was quite large, with a balcony and a private bathroom with shower and bath. The bed was squeaky and the decor was basic, but I think you come here for the wonderful location, not for luxury. It's basic in the good sense: simple, yet clean. Downstairs there is a bar/restaurant where you have breakfast and can get drinks and an evening meal. The food is basic yet tasty. With help of the friendly staff and Google Translate you'll figure it out what to order 🙂. There are about 8-10 parking places in front of the hostel and we were lucky to get one. There's a large car park a 5 minute walk away from the hostel, so contrary to the description on Booking finding a parking spot isn't really a problem. In the car park there are quite a few chargers so we could charge ours overnight. This is one of those picturesque experiences that you'll remember.

The room was quite well insulated for heat conservation, but no Ac nor a ceiling fan. So it was very hot during the night. We were there in last week of June, opening the window was not an option because of the wild insects(of course, it's in the middle of a mountain.) it would have been better in winter. And wifi was quite weak.

Clean room, 5 min walk to train station for Valle de Nuria, a great view, hot shower, good access to the bar downstairs. Breakfast available upon payment, no need to worry for parking spot.

While the name says this is a hostal, it is a lovely little hotel. Private, large, and modern bathrooms. Every room has a balcony with amazing views. The hostal has a restaurant - plan to eat there unless you pack your own food. The food was excellent and great value, staff was friendly and attentive.
