They refused to supply us with ice and told us to buy it at the supermarket. No hair conditioner. Also they need to mention in their description of the property how to get from the high speed train station miles away in Tarrogona Camp as we thought it was just round the corner from the train station which is why we booked this hotel.

I was told the taxi to the airport would come in 5-10 mins but after a lot of chasing it took 30 mins to arrive. Door to my balcony would not close and after 48 hours it was still not fixed. I was offered a new room for the last night but I did not feel safe for the first two.

I did not eat breakfast but very clean, nice pool area and friendly staff.

There were a couple things that leave me from rating this hotel a 10 out of 10. Although the bed was very comfortable, the linens were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The AC was horrible. The staff were extremely accommodating in investigating the problem trying to fix the problem, but in the end it's determined that you just have to leave the air conditioner on 24 hours a day in the summer and over time the room will get cool. The first night was very difficult but the staff gave me a fan which helped a great deal. Also, although quoted 750 m from the train station, it is a very difficult walk up hills and about 20 steps at the end of it. This walk is not doable if you are old and carrying a lot of heavy bags. Again, this is very deceiving on a map where it just looks like it's flat. Not really the hotels fault, just know Tarragonia has lots of hills.

The location really can't be beat. But maps are deceiving. There is no easy way to get to the beach from the hotel. the hotel is in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. And on the best street in the city.

rooms could use renovation, floors especially . . . makes Hotel Lauria feel like 2* wait time at reception: we received a request to pre-register (which we did), yet had to wait several minutes for 2 staff to finish typing something even though no other guest was queued in front of us

Check-in was a little late. Room was only ready one hour after the normal check-in time.

Very nice location on the new Rambla. Walking distance to all the important sights. Nice pool area. The rooms are spacious with a good bed. Good shower.

Situated right in the middle of the old town and short walks to the many roman sites. The beach is close by but a hard walk. Didn't use the pool but it looked good.

The woman who checked us in was rather rude. I asked if our request of a room above the ground floor had been happened. Was very dismissive no apology and told us the hotel was full. Not very welcoming at all. Everyone else was exceptional. Maybe booking. com should not have raised my expectations. We avoided her after that.

Location perfect. 90% of staff very accomodating Lent us a cork screw opener, chilled our wine, helpful with bus stop information, spoke English really well.

The last room I stayed in was in poor repair, but clean, and that is all that matters to me.

I only wanted a clean single room without any additional costs. That is all I ever want during my stay at the Laurie. I am traveling to Spain for work (Offshore) not on holiday so my requirements are minimal.

The second morning of breakfast the items felt like leftovers and didn't seem fresh. The guests above us were up most of the night (moving furniture) - they may have been using the desk in the room to do work and kept scraping their chair back and forth across the uncarpeted floor - maybe add some rubber soles to the feet of the chairs to silence them.

Location is very central and easy to get to historic sites, restaurants and shopping. Staff was very helpful.

Finding the car park was a little complicated. Room facilities on the basic side. Only 1 double hook in the bathroom - not quite enough for 2 people using the pool and wanting to dry off towels and swimwear.

Great location just off the Ramblas. Nice to have a pool to cool down.
