The hotel is right in front of the walls and the entrance gate to the old city. Just minutes walking to the restaurants and bars. The room is very comfortable and clean.

The shower head needed replacing a long time ago (Room 101) as the water didn't come out like a normal shower which meant it was difficult to stand underneath. Also other guests were very noisy during our stay, shouting from one room to another and slamming doors.

Before arrival , I said I'd probably arrive around 3 pm on the bus from the airport. The reply" if you're not here by 5pm you'll be left outside ," extremely uncaring , which , after a transatlantic flight was a very anxiety provoking .possibility. On asking about the door code that I'd previously been informed was available, they informed me it wasn't working and I HAD to be there by 5 ..which seemed , frankly bullying , it's not my fault that the code isn't working. They only said they'd wait for me when I complained vigorously to them and booking .com . As it was, the bus didn't get in until 6 pm, and there was staff there to check me in ..at a time that's completely normal and acceptable to arrive at,a,hotel anyway . Maybe they have now altered this, but beware .. if you're planning on arriving after 5 .I was appalled at the initial attitude , especially as there was no cancellation option, and they'd already taken my money .If I had been "left outside " at 6 pm I would have contacted the local police because its totally unreasonable to do this , they have a duty of care to their guests . Other than this. Well, terrace hadn't been cleaned from people before , strewn with cigarette butt's, n often reception not manned , n few facilities but , small concerns compared to actually being " allowed in."

The room was very nice , all I needed and very comfortable, I loved the balcony I had as well, which had a great view,over the countryside around Avila .The bathroom was well equipped, and shower had good pressure,and hot easily regulated water temperature . Location of the hotel great as well .The lady at reception was friendly.

It was extremely noisy from other guests. The doors are heavy and you could hear people slamming them at all hours of the night.

The curtains need to be blackout as there are very strong lights lighting up the castle walls and the curtains simply cannot cope so the room was very bright all night.

The room was huge and comfortable it had a great views of the walls as your right opposite them, Staff very helpful.

Although parking under hotel, good driving skills are needed to park in cramped space!

Room was big and spacious leading out to a small roof terrace. Comfortable beds and decent bathroom. Great value for money. The location was brilliant, literally just outside one of the main gates to the old city walls. Tourist Office next door and also a good restaurant, serving a great breakfast, next door.

Although it is always a bonus to have garage parking, it is a very tight space so wouldn't recommend for large vehicle. The bar/restaurant was only open during the day but its not that far to walk to lots of others.

The hotel is in a superb locations, right by the city wall. The room was very clean and plenty of space & storage. The bathroom was great. Very comfy bed with nice clean bed linen. It has parking (extra payment needed). It has a bar & restaurant right next door. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The tourist information is right below the hotel with access very close to the front door.

A great family-run hotel. Secure garage for motorbikes with easy access from the main road beneath the walls of the city. Clean and modern. Go to the adjacent bar and restaurant for refreshment.

The car park was very easy to find, but the car park and the individual spaces were really small. I blocked two spaces, and had to back out of the car park, I couldn’t get an angle to turn around. My car is large, though.

The hotel had everything you’d need for a short stay at Avila. Right next to walls, easy to walk the whole town. Room facilities were all there.

Being in a city parking was an issue not having its own car park but we were lucky to find a free space one street down and out of the paid parking zone

The parking is not next to the hotel but at the beginning if the road. In our opinion regarding parking this should be complimentary since the hotel was empty cause to pay 15 euro for one night is to much. The women at the reception didn’t speak english at all and we had difficult communicating.

We had a nice nice room and spotless clean and facing the the walls if avila. Restaurants close to the accommodation available.
