Magnificent location, friendly and very efficient staff, mesmerizing swimming pools and fantastic value for the dinner. The Ham was the best we have ever had and the lamb was delicious. The breakfast was nicely and quickly served in a very friendly atmosphere.

This is an old glory 5 star hotel that needs refurbishing especially of the common spaces. They have for instance very large curtains at the entrance that are worn out and even dirty (first thing you see entering into a massive hall) or the door to the cafeteria is patched up with aluminium foil. The indoor swimming pool is spectacular inside a large gothic iron wrought veranda that is however rusted, deformed and old. The long chairs are comfortable but the cushions are stained and there are bird droppings and “old looking” stains on the tables and furniture, which is a pity because this indoor swimming pool is otherwise a jewel. In summary, 5 star hotel that needs serious refurbishing and refreshing. Staff was not particularly friendly but not unfriendly either. Located at the outskirts of Burgos (7minutes by car) next to highways and industrial area, so don’t expect to be in the city center. For Spanish standards bad quality/price relation.

Beautiful castilian style proprety with large indoor spaces and salons. Very nicely furnished. Spacious room with all amenities and beautiful bath too with large bathtub on lions feet and separate shower . Beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Parking available. Didn’t test restaurant.

If you like modernity, it’s not your place, rooms are intentionally created to make you feel like you’re in the 17th century. Just a note for those expecting something different.

Incredible facilities, built on an actual castle. You’ll feel like you’re in a fairytale or medieval times. Great pool space and decent breakfast. Just not a 10/10 due to lack of AC in my room.

Swimming pool was freezing cold!! This was unexpected as day temp was 36 Obvious rivalry between bar are staff and restaurant staff. They told us we could not have access to the restaurant wine list in the bar area!!! Fortunately we found a young work experience lad who spoke English & got bottles of restaurant wine for us . Needless to say he was the only one who got a large tip.

Location Only 7 euros for a taxi for 4 into Burgos centre. Lovely rooms

The place has real allure and is located very centrally. Don’t be fooled by it location, you won’t notice any busy roads or noise. Staff is very friendly and focused on great hospitality

It is an unique place - organized around the medieval style including the pool which is difficult to depict in photos. It is a marvel and tables along with live fire in the pool is something exceptional. Reasonable food at place and unexpectedly charnimg atmosphere in place surrounded by crossroads

The bar staff are the only people who let the hotel down. The service is very slow and the waiters ( not the girls) are abrupt with few if any smiles. The restaurant was a disappointment

We requested an early breakfast as we were leaving at dawn, and it was confirmed the evening before. However, in the morning, the service was delayed by 15 minutes, and the staff member informed us that breakfast wasn't typically available at that hour. This caused unnecessary stress, and the internal policies of the hotel were of no help in the situation.

The hotel is exceptional, offering a castle-like experience. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the pool is fantastic. The reception service was excellent!

The bar menu could do with adding more international choices.

The building is a unique blend of truly historic architecture with more recent mid 20th century building I found it fascinating. The Staff were excellent.
