Not enough time to try the spa and pool, I was just stopping overnight on my travel.

The location outside of town, surrounded by nature, close to the seaside but still with rugged mountains in the background. The personnel was very kind and the breakfast good.

We received the handicapped room, as the only room available. No chair was present in the room. The receptionist then offered a normal room but then we had to pay 50 euro extra. After a denial from us, she offered to bring a chair to the room.

For a 4* hotel I would have expected conditioner in the bathrooms , propper coffee not a Nescafe machine and real orange juice not squash for breakfast . I tried the apple and pineapple juice but both had fermented . I’m not sure that was intentional .

Tastefully designed , lovely staff , peaceful setting. Excellent restaurant with great bar man who made us a fresh bramble cocktail We had a treatment which was excellent . No idea what I ordered but it was 1 .5 hours €110 products used smell and professional massage was such a treat . Full body and face exfoliation , mud wrap and rehydration . Felt very spoilt

The WiFi signal is weak and sometimes intermittent. When we visit spa hotels, it's normal to have unlimited access to the thermal/heated pool. At this hotel, it costs €20 to use the spa, including the pool, for only 90 minutes. We felt this was somewhat unreasonable and decided not to use the spa at all.

The hotel is smart and modern and the location in a rural farming area is very relaxing. It is only a short drive to Ribadesella and for us, it was a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding towns and villages and, of course, the Picos.

The receptionist at check-in was hard to understand with our limited Spanish so we asked her to slow down, she would for 1 sentence and then ramp back up to full speed, so we would ask again and the same thing happened over and over... the people working reception for the rest of our stay were great, just the one woman that didn't speak any English and only spoke Spanish at the speed of light :)

Check-in was only okay, everything else was perfect! The breakfast was great for "buffet-style food", and the peace and quiet of the location was a very welcome break after the rest of our trip. There is a semi-local Gin at the restaurant that was AMAZING and the super sweet/hard-working waitress was there day and night for our entire stay.

Electricity for the room required your room key as is common with other hotels but only 1 key was provided which meant when you removed the key when going out the electricity went off as did the mini fridge therefore nothing stayed cold. Sockets were all under furniture fittings making it difficult for older people with limited mobility. Similarly the bath had no grab handles.

we travelled for 6 hours to arrive there on a Sunday afternoon. All seemed great until we were told the restaurant was closed and the bar was closing shortly at 5pm. So we are out of town, no food or drink, and having to walk to town for both. The receptionist explained the restaurant is under separate ownership (!) and they have closed for a few days. These things happen, I guess, but why not tell guests immediately so they can prepare or book elsewhere? That is didisingenuous.

Biking trip - i booked 5 rooms. The hotel is very nice, I had a good sized superior room and everything was clean and well looked after. it is in a rural location ouside Ribasella, which is nolice if you want that. we had thought it was closer ro the town however (it nearly 2 km away). receptionist was helpful and apologetic (see below).

In future, I think the hotel should pitch itself as an adults only location. It also seems to be trying to be something its not. Example was Cava as an option for breakfast, but no tea and coffee making facilities or mini bars in the room. We have 2 children at 7 & 9 years old and the idea of paying for access to the pool at €15 per hour is frankly shocking. We had one lunch at the hotel and, while the cuisine was excellent, the time we were left waiting for food was unacceptable and there were no options for children of our age group. The hotel prides itself on catering for Coeliacs yet there were limited options, again for children when it came to breakfast.

The rooms and staff were excellent. Our family had no complaints there at all.
