Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReasonably good breakfast but lacking some niceties - orange squash instead of orange juice for example. Hotel grounds contain a number of roaming cats and it is difficult to keep them out of a ground floor room with the patio doors open. No air conditioning. Did not spoil our stay however.
Excellent good sized room with good clean facilities. Good location for covering the south of the island just minutes from the FV-2 motorway.

AustriaThe hotel is in an amazing location close to the cliffs and the ocean with nothing in between, so the view out of my hotel room was incredible of just the ocean! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was really friendly. The only problem which they need to fix is that the outside lights on the exterior walls of the different buildings only turn on if you happen to see the light switch on the walls. The problem is that the switches are hard to see at night, especially in the buildings further away from the main building. So when I first arrived to find my hotel room, I didn't see a step on the areas on the ground next to the room doors because it was so dark with many hard to see random steps. So I fell badly and twisted my ankle, which hurt for a few weeks after, making it difficult to go for long walks on my vacation. This same thing happened to another person right outside my door a few days later when I heard a loud noise outside my hotel room door and when I opened it, I saw that an older man had happen hard on the ground because he didn't see one of these poorly lit steps! He also didn't see that there was a switch to turn on those lights which would have illuminated the exterior areas around the building. When I told the manager and the district manager, who was visiting, they didn't really apologize very much but just showed me where the outside switches were located. I told him that at night you can't see the switches and that these lights should be always on at night, timed automatically with light sensors. The manager told me that this was the first time any guest had complained about how dark it was around the buildings at night that they couldn't see the random steps here and there or didn't notice the light switches. I find that hard to believe because my eyesight is good but the steps and light switches are very hard to see at night in some of the buildings closest to the sea.

United KingdomI asked for an extra pillow and blanket as was a bit chilly the first night and the staff obliged immediately. It would give a more comfy feel to supply 2 pillows as standard.
We loved the spacious apartment with sea view. We also loved the chilled atmosphere, very relaxing. The pool is absolutely beautifully kept and nice to swim in.

United KingdomAccess to the beach was a track! It is not an easy route for families and those less abled. If you get half board, you do not have many options for lunch. At the hotel lunch is offered for €20 pp. There is a nice cafe just outside the hotel and a small shop where you can get sandwich materials. But that is it! La Pared does not have much to offer. You have to rent a car if you want to visit other towns (the nearest is Costa Calma and the bus that takes you there is not very frequent. It takes over an hour to walk there). The Surf School near the hotel is expensive but the Adrenaline Surf School nearby offers more reasonable prices and they are very helpful.
Staff were amazing: so attentive, kind, and excellently organised. Especially fantastic were Antonio and his team at the restaurant, Paolo at the bar, Romina at reception, and Laura with her ‘Animacion’ programme (yoga, pilates, and bachata; all super and she is such a lovely person!). There is a good gym, ping pong, and tennis—all great! The food was great; particularly breakfast was amazing.

RomaniaThere will be a list: -The road towards the hotel is a bit broken for like 700m there is no asphalt, or if there is it is broken -There is no parking spot near the hotel, you can park on the street or behind the hotel once you have the access card -The cleaning was not great or not very well done in the room -There was a very rude and ironic guy at the reception - Christian that despite the fact that I claimed my rights, he was not trying to make any effort from his side. -The food from the breakfast and dinner is low quality and not so many choices. You can have a proper breakfast but with limited choices: bacon, eggs, 2types of cheese, coffee from instant coffee from a machine(the tea is better), many types of bread, some pastries with margerine, and some vegetables, some yogurt and milk for cereals but low quality. -For the dinner buffet also seemed low quality, we only took the dinner once as we were invited so I do not consider it deserves the money, but if you don't want to struggle to find a restaurant nearby(means in Costa Calma or other location by car)or so, it is OK to fill your belly. -The SPA and jacuzzi area was closed -The rating from booking remained like this because of the previous owner, in my opinion they need improvement to reach that scoring.
The hotel it's a resort wanna be, or it was a resort but the quality has decreased during the owner changement. If I do not take into account the incident from the beginning of the holiday where they gave us the last room that seemed unused since a while: -not aerated, - with dust on the lamps and not renovated, - there were some problems in the shower that made the water going in all the bathroom floor and also the toilet was not cleaned. We can say that it was OK after we received a decent room with clean toilet, renovated shower and sea view that we paid for from the beginning. We liked the calm of the location, the fact that we could enjoy a breakfast on the terrace, the personal of the restaurant was at the top very kind and very attentive. The girls from the reception staff like Vera, Cristina and Ramona were very kind and helpful and tried to solve any issues that occurred. We liked that there was a pool and some sunbeds where you could lean in the sun. The gym was also a plus and the coached sessions also ok. The beach in Costa Calma that was 10min away by car. It is a good beach for surfers just behind the hotel. It proposes also a lunch( is a la carte from e pre-established menu and a buffet dinner) I really enjoyed at breakfasts the rice with milk, very tasty with a nice flavour of cinnamon and orange!

United KingdomWe had a run of bad luck, which important to mention, but on the positive side, the hotel reacted in a positive way every time. We booked a family bungalow on HB, but when we arrived this was not available, and we had 2 rooms next door to each other. However, the hotel upgraded us to Full board, which seemed very fair. We all became ill after the 2nd night. We only had eaten at the hotel. Again, very helpful reception and cleaners brought us clean sheets at 3 am and cleaned the room the next day. When we got back to eating, the buffet lunch had changed to ordering at the pool bar. This was a bit on the slow side, and both days our order was wrong (2 meals brought out for 4 of us on the first lunch, then 3 meals on the 2nd lunch, same waitress ), but again, all rectified in the end, and the food was good, and we were not in a hurry! We slept with the doors open for the breeze when we were ill, but we got eaten alive by mozzies. There was no air con. Again, I think it may have been a problem with a particular room, and we asked to change, which they did. The surf lesson, which we cancelled due to being ill, tried to charge us, even though we texted them first thing on the morning of the lesson. It appeared on our hotel bill at the end. Again, the hotel staff, after a few sensible conversations, sorted this out and we did not have to pay. So in summary, despite having a lot of bad luck, the hotel staff were very proactive in helping out, and I would recommend the place. I think we were just a bit unlucky with being unwell, which can happen anywhere.
The hotel and gardens are very pretty, quiet and very relaxing. There is a fantastic gym (which we used) and the yoga / work out areas look great (although we didn’t use them). You get a great view of the sunset from the upstairs terrace. The hotel, rooms and gardens are kept very clean.

FinlandIf you want to eat in a restaurant that is not in the hotel, there's not much options in this specific area. The coolness of this hotel resort is that it's far away from everything.
I was positively surprised of how nice it was. The thing I liked the most was the calmness. The option to hang by the pool, go to the beach with amazing waves, workout or to walk around the incredible scenery just outside the hotel and watch the amazing sunsets. The staff was caring and super friendly. The food was fresh and overall super good.

United KingdomOur bungalow didn't have an aircon, and it was getting hot at night (September). Opening the windows at night only resulted in mosquitos getting inside (a mosquito net protection for one window would have been a game changer).
Beautiful, peaceful hotel surrounded by nature. There are plenty of walking trails and mountain biking routes nearby. Short drive to nice hikes and volcanoes. Perfect if you have a car and want to explore the island. Saturday mountain biking tour was great. Mountain bikes, free to rent, are of very good quality. Food was amazing - the restaurant is big enough to offer good choices, but not too large - it doesn’t feel like a mass canteen. There was a selection of gluten-free pastries. The bungalows are spread around a large area and offer good privacy. We got one with a balcony overlooking the ocean. WiFi was better than expected, sufficient for taking Zoom calls with no issues. The pool bar served the best mohito I've ever had!
