Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance for 2 days of our 4 day stay. It would also have been nice to have a more varied menu in the restaurant. On any particular evening there was a good choice but it did not vary much from night to night and we had booked half board. The food quality was excellent however. The bar was often unattended and did not have much in the way of choice. There was no beer on tap for example. The wifi was a little ropey in places but the walls of the old house are 2ft thick and you just have to take that on the chin.

The suite was the best we had ever stayed in. The bed was excellent. There was plenty of storage. All room amenities were as described at the time of booking. Parking was easy right in front of reception and spaces were always available. The grounds were maintained superbly. Breakfast was excellent. We used the hotel as a hub for exploring a lot of the northern Costa Brava and it was very well located for this just off a main thoroughfare but still secluded. I'd recommend a car to make the most of the surrounding towns and beaches.

Restaurant was disappointing. Such a beautiful location but the dinner did not match the quality of everything else by far.

There was a little mould in the bathroom in our suite, but other than that— loved it.

So quiet, absolutely stunning location, and just visually very pleasing to look at. Gorgeous gardens, interior design so comfortable and really welcoming and chic. The personal breakfast displays were DELICIOUS, all the hot food options were cooked to order, and the fruit selection changed everyday.

The restaurant did unfortunately not meet the quality standards you would expect from a 5 star hotel but probably due to low season.

Lovely stylish hotel set in the Catalan country side but close to the beach which is only a gentle 15 - 20 min walk away through a small forest leading to a picturesque bay. It is a very dog friendly hotel. We and our 2 Golden Retrievers enjoyed the stay very much.

The pool area is rather bleak and could do with some plants and tubs etc The restaurant was a bit soulless and hard to get into !! We tried several times only to find we were trying the wrong door Only one waiter for 16 covers on the night we ate there The very luxurious marble shower needed a good scrub as the grout very grubby
