Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A room fridge would be good, but this was a pension and for the price you can’t expect everything

Internet we were advised to use la herradura 2016 only seemed visible in entrance. We were is rooms 106 and 107 and no ability to link to that wifi. Owner did try and help but if we left ground floor that wifi dissapeared . We didnt have much of a view but having said that we could see the sea if you looked further. But opposite was another unit and flats
Spotlessly clean every area. Welcoming staff easy check in process super breakfast service and choice Great location

There's nothing to dislike!
Spotlessly clean! Our room was modern & bright, with a great furnished balcony. It's in a great location just a few minutes walk to the sea front. We had a very friendly welcome, and found a parking spot close by. There's a lovely roof terrace with sunbeds. Will definitely return when we visit thos area next.

we couldn't get WiFi access in our room. not the end of the world. couldn't get our air-conditioning to work, but it could have been us and as it was October, we didn't bother to ask for help. if it was August we would have asked.
Delia, the owner is a fantastic host. always cheery, always ready to help. hotel is immaculately clean. rooms are modern and VERY spacious. beautiful place.

The WiFi didn’t work well in our room The street noise could be a bit loud at times
My mother and I had a great stay at Pension La Herradura. The rooms are basic, but modern and clean. It’s a short walk to the beach and other amenities. The lady who runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious tomato bread with cheese, along with pastries, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. I don’t think you could find a better stay for such a reasonable price.

The pillow for sure. It's long and narrow, not comfortable for two people at all. The second thing is the shower, it's a walk-in made bad. The water simply flies out of the shower and you don't have anything to wipe it.
The location was good; the staff was nice, friendly and smiley. The room was clean, the tv is quite small but we didn't use it anyway.

Traffic noise and fumes. This was the trade off for being central to everything.

Very small TV. Another bedside cabinet would have been useful
Beautiful courtyard setting. Ideal for people with mobility problems. Very clean and quiet...very little traffic noise. Great breakfast. Location very near to bars and restaurants. Safe in the room for valuables. The shower was excellent.. Parking is free and very close to the hostel.

The wifi did not reach my room. When I came downstairs and sat in the patio I was able to connect to it. However, if you are a traveling for business and looking to work in your room, I would not recommend this for the issue of the wifi.
Room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The host even included breakfast for me, even though I didn't pay for it! Very friendly staff and it is a family run business, so it has a great feel to it. I would highly recommend this place!

The fact that we had to create our own fruit platter. I'm hopeless cutting mango and avocado. That was all I really wanted. But, no, if I wanted it I had to chop it myself. Otherwise the tostada with tomato, cheese and jamon was adequate. Very good coffee.
The friendly atmosphere. The comfortable bedroom, number 109 upstairs. Large and airy. I think I'll ask for rooms 1 or 2 downstairs next time, because I find the stairs a bit tricky these days.

As with most hotels in europe, the rooms are a bit small -- but this didn't bother us at all.
This was very affordable, close to the beach, convenient, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, despite our limited spanish. The breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Pension La Herradura.
