Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean, with big windows looking out to scenic views. The property has a lovely garden. Playa de Somo and its lively cafe scene are a short drive away. There is a nice restaurant nearby.

United KingdomThere was really nothing not to like - we'd love to have stayed longer.
What did we like? Everything. It looked good on the website, but exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable and very nicely designed, equipped and lit. The whole building was full of character and great use has been made of its original features and architecture. Due to our clinical vulnerability in respect of Covid19 we had asked to be able to have breakfast in our room or outside, either of which they were very happy to accommodate; in the event it was warm enough to eat outside, under cover, where we were served an excellent breakfast. It was good to be able to park our loaded campervan off-road within their own grounds - very reassuring. The grounds themselves were very pretty and it would have been lovely to spend more time there in better weather. There were several restaurants within easy walking distance; we had a good lunch at the nearest, the Bonobo Bar Restaurante, and two superb evening meals at the Restaurante Primera Vaca, just a few minutes further.

United KingdomFree Wi-Fi has patchy coverage... A small price to pay and understandable considering the huge stone walls and massive wooden beams. Everything else we loved.
Excellent family owned hotel superbly located in the village. Greeting letter in English. Nice touch. Lovely room with balcony overlooking extensive well cared for garden. Safe parking on site. Excellent continental style breakfast. Comfortable public areas. Lovely old building full of character. Spotlessly clean which is very impressive considering all the old beams and nooks and crannies.

FranceWe don't speak Spanish (or very little), and the hosts only spoke Spanish. No real welcome, nor assistance, nor thanks for visiting. Just a decent sized bill. We could hear absolutely everything in the room next door.
