How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast was amazing! The hotel and the room were super clean! We traveled during winter, so I can say that the room was warm also! Everything was good in general!

Proximity to the PIcos, Cangas de Onís, Ribadesella . Very clean, excellent staff. The proprietor Juan was very professional. The staff was super attentive. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

The location is difficult to reach without a car, but it's worth the trip!

Great breakfast. Good location - best if you have a car but walkable to Cangas de Onís. The owner was very helpful in explaining what to do, where to eat etc.

Room was comfortable but a bit low by the walls because of sloping roof on sides but probably the only room with that issue. Dining area, although inside, required going out the entrance and going into another entrance. In bad weather, it could be an issue. These are minor issues. All in all, we enjoyed our stay there very much and would have stayed longer but they were fully booked!
A large home (casona) in a courtyard off of narrow road going up a hill. Lovely and tranquil. We really enjoyed the breakfast and parking was right in front of the entrance. A bit tricky to first find it but signs to the entrance were very helpful. Easy drive to Cangas de Onis and the Picos de Europa. A very good value. We'd go back.

I really don't have any feedback other than it might be helpful to have a few hooks over the door or elsewhere in the room to hang wet towels/swimsuits etc. Other than that, everything was perfect in every way!
I can't say enough good things about Casona Sobrepiedra. Juan was simply incredible as a host. He spent a great deal of time orienting us with a map of the best beaches, hiking areas and places to park that were convenient to Cangas de Onis as well as the bus to get to Covadonga lakes and the many beaches. He was so patient and kind in answering our many questions and our limited Spanish speaking. The breakfast was amazing. Delicious home made chocolate and lemon cake, this life changing tomato spread and lots of other good things including fresh squeezed OJ. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you would need and it is so quiet and peaceful. The place is one of the most spotless I've ever seen. There is a constant lovely scent of dried flowers too. Parking is plentiful as well. We loved it and I'm definitely going to return when I'm next in the area.

Juan and his wife were excellent hosts, with Juan being an encyclopedia regarding all activities, facilities, sightseeing hotspots in the vicinities. The place was excellent, with everything needed to relax and spend some quiet days around.

The only thing that we could complain about is that the mattress was really uncomfortable. But still we would come again.

Lovely little place to stay while in the Picos, very hospitable host. Breakfast was very good, and there is a pretty hike nearby for a great view of the Picos.

Nothing significant. As a wooden frame building you do sometimes hear a bit of creaking noises from other guests, depending on which room. So best to inform Juan in advance if you are very fussy about that.
Juan was a perfect host, a most charming man who went to some effort to advise on local things to see with map. He made an excellent breakfast too. The hotel is immaculate, very clean with some nice touches like artwork and a fridge for guests. There is on site parking. Shower was good and bed comfortable. There is local swimming in the river which is very close and the nearby town of Cangas is very attractive with wonderful Roman bridge. we also canoed 10km on the Sella river and Juan gets you a discount. We took the trip up to the lakes which was very beautiful on Juan’s advice doing a 5km walk. We also found the most gorgeous small sandy beach Antonio too, near pretty town of Llanes. You can drive most of the way even tho a sign says you cannot. The water was warm and the sand soft (mid September) We also drove over the mountain - great views - to the pretty fishing port of Llastres for a very decent fish meal on the quayside. All in two days…now we need a holiday. Thank you so much Juan for being the perfect host who speaks quite good English too. We loved Asturias and will visit here again. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, some things could've been better. The room was small, but enough for a solo traveler, the mattress and bedding, however, were of inferior quality and the bed made a lot of noises when turning around. Also, in my case, the room was right by the front entrance door, for an early sleeper, it's tough not to wake up with people unlocking and locking the main door when arriving at a later hour.
The staff are very very nice, and really want to help and give you tips for better your stay in the region. Also, the private parking is a plus and the the Wifi and the breakfast are good.
