Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryBathroom shower is very strange but usable, it’s not a handle but also not a rain shower. A kettele would be a plus to have in the room since there is no close place to have a coffee. After reading all these wonderful reviews about the owner I was so happy to come here but he doesn’t speak a word of English and he seems cheerful but also a little bit angry beacuse we didn’t know Spanish or French. We did use google translate but he was not very interested in participating. Biggest obstacle was not understanding basics like - egg omellet. We have met a younger guy who did know some English bit he was not around at all times. Experience is nice in general but if you are an English speaking person all the reviews are not applicalbe.
The city is a farytale, views from the room was awesome, having parking next to the house is a real priviledge here. House is interesting and cute, room was big, bathroom comfortable. Breakfast was nice and additional dinner was diverse.

AustraliaIt would’ve been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities as we are early risers. Maybe a little more information about the local area in different languages would be good too.
Unique property in a very special location with amazing views from our bedroom. The host was very happy and helpful, even though we didn’t speak any Spanish. We loved the decor in all the rooms and corridors. It was a very different stay for us.

LithuaniaThe hotel looked like something from a fairy tale, with hand-painted doors, embroidery, and little trinkets on the walls. Staff was lovely, the room was nice and spacious, with an amazing view of Riglos. Breakfast has a great selection. There was plenty of parking space next to the hotel.

SpainThere wasn't enough toilet paper
We loved the host, Rafa and the whole place was uniquely decorated, giving it real charm. The breakfast was prepared with love and everything went smoothly at check in and out. We will definitely stay again next time we come to this region for more beautiful hikes or other type of excursion that this area has to offer, like rafting or so.

AustraliaThe room could've been comfier. The bed needs more than one pillow. The room needs fly screens because when you open the windows a lot of bugs fly in.
Great views and close to the river and rock climbing. The breakfast was nice.

United StatesThe only thing I can think of is the signage is not too good.
This is the quaint little place you dream about finding. The owner Rafa and his assistant Joseph Luis made it so special, they came out and sang songs with us and turned this into a truly remarkable experience.

United StatesThere was a separate toilet area with a door, which is always appreciated...but in addition to the toilet, there was a urinal on the wall, which I had not seen in a private bathroom before...so that was a bit different! But maybe it is a new trend!?!?
Charming, unique hotel in a very small town with a gorgeous view. The family run hotel is well decorated, full of local lore and artwork. We really enjoyed speaking with the innkeepers--they are knowledgeable on local and national history. Easy parking next to the inn. It felt like being welcomed into an old friends' home. They offered dinner for a highly reasonable price and were very accommodating for the one of us who does not eat lamb...offering to substitute an omelet or fish, no problem! Breakfast was tremendous...don't skip it! Really a fun place. I would easily return.

GermanyWe cannot recommend the hotel. We were not allowed to park in the car park next to the hotel, although other hotel guests were allowed to park there. Breakfast was far too expensive and poor for 10€. The bread came out of a bag and there was no choice for vegetarians. The hotel manager made fun of the fact that our Spanish was not so good. There was no wifi in the upper rooms. Only if you go downstairs to the lobby. The rooms were moderately clean.
