During my stay there were some problems with the wifi which is a bit difficult when you have to work remotely. It was a bit cold in the rooms.

There was a cover on the shower drain (I have no idea why one would use that, as it's not in a bathtub). I didn't notice until the whole bathroom was flooded.

The shower head in the shared bathroom should attach properly to the wall fitting. It need a replacement.

I like the darkness and ambience of my room. I enjoyed very much using the kitchen, dining and living room. When I stay there I seem to meet interesting people.. It is easy to park your car there.

Well, practically everything was fine, except for the slight smell in the bathroom.

I'm glad I just found a cheaper place than the cave house, but also in the old town among the winding streets. The old house is charming, the interior, wooden ceiling beams, the view from the huge kitchen window is great. There is everything you need, a large library for guests. It's quiet, peaceful around, well, maybe it's not the tourist season. If I travel through those places, I will definitely choose this hostel.

This is a wonderful, quirky, hostel-style accommodation. I can normally be a little wary of hostels or booking places that have a similar setup but La Casona de la Luz defied my expectations. In a cozy space with your own bathroom and hot water (very important to me) I had a great visit here... the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and making coffee, and overall the space is quiet and has a nice view of the city. The price was an excellent value.

Lovely old (we were told 1000yrs old) house set up like a UK hostel with some private rooms and some bunk rooms. We had a private room with a private bathroom and it was just like a nice hotel. The shared kitchen was well equipped and overlooked the courtyard. No Aircon in the room but it didn't need it. The host Gabriel was very welcoming.

In the summer it was a bit warm in the room at night although there was some common air condition in the house. The rooms are just separated by walls not going all the way to the cieling, so the rooms are not very sound proof. I think we were alone and was not bothered by this.

Very cozy house with a nice common kitchen. Basic lodging, but clean and friendly. The kids loved the kittens in the back yard, and were invited to pet with them by the friendly staff at the house. Back yard was used for concert in the evening the day we arrived, but was over before we got back from our excursion in the city (11pm).

It was a very interesting old house. very close to the centre of Guadix. The host, Gabriel, was extremely helpful and friendly. We were on motorcycles and Gabriel let us park them in the private courtyard garden for extra security. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom great.

Very friendly owner, good knowledge of English, good and instant communication. The house has a 1000 year old history. You can use the kitchen with living room. Good bakery nearby, a short walking distance to both town centre and the bus station.
