Everything was great. Location, cleanliness, confortable bed. Worth of mention was the friendliness of the owner and the way he communicated at all times. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend La Casona de Baró.

Nothing really, but it's worth mentioning that the access to the village where the hotel is, and then the access to the carpark, is very narrow and it requires a skilled driver.

Ben, the owner, texted us before we arrived to arrange the check-in in case he wasn't there. He even sent us a video of how to find our bedroom key and the carpark. It was really useful! He wasn't always available in the reception, but he was always available on the phone/whatsapp. The bedroom was simple but clean and comfortable, and the views were stunning. Even though our bedroom was right over the main entrance to the hotel, it wasn't noisy.

The road to it is a little challenging, but that the case in all the small villages. Easy parking once found.

It’s a beautiful stone building with the ability to walk right from the front door. Great breakfast and friendly service. Loved our double doors and balcony to step out into.

The location, although convenient for the mountains, gives very few options for evening meals unless you are willing to drive to Potes, which has plenty of choice, about 8km away. (The campsite next to Barò has a nice restaurant, which is worth trying.) The streets of the village of Barò are very narrow. There's parking in the village but not recommended if you're driving a minibus.

A really nice accommodation in a very small hamlet. The proprietor is very friendly and welcoming. The room we had was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast costs extra, but is very reasonably priced, with traditional food and generous portions. You will not leave hungry!

We booked on some of the hottest days of the year. Upper floor rooms were uncomfortable during the day.

Dany makes the best breakfast and is very hospitable. He provided us with a daily plan for activities upon request. The property has an old world feel.

Very nice and clean room located in the quiet area. Bed is comfortable, heating was on during our stay and it was very warm during the night. The host Danny made our stay amazing and helped with all of the questions. Breakfast was delicious!

Very friendly and helpfull host who gave us good advise. Excellent meal and exceptional good breakfast. Quiet nice location, not so far from Potes but still a 25 min drive from Fuente De. Parking no problem. Room allright in accordance to price.

Dany the host is exceptional! He was very attentive and the breakfast and dinner he prepared was very delicious, highly recommenced! The hotel is located 10 minutes by car away from Potes in a rural house in a small village, where it is very quiet. You also have a nice view to the mountains. The room is very clean and comfy.

Breakfast was amazing. Fruit, salamis, cheeses, fried egg and bacon, coffee, fresh orange juice and always the service was so friendly and generous. Our host was helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to revisit.

What a wonderful place and Danny could not do anything more to make our stay more enjoyable. A lovely man. Fantastic location, such a great way to start a holiday in northern Spain. We will be back.

After climbing up steep, winding lanes to get there, we found no sign to show us the hotel car park and parked opposite despite a sign saying private. There was no one in reception till 20.00. We found the car park when we went for a walk. The double bed had a bolster which was rather hard and uncomfortable but no pillows.

A beautiful traditional mountain house, with nice little sitting areas on each floor. We didn’t have time to hike around but the location is wonderful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and very good value at 9€. We were glad to be able to eat in the atmospheric dining room as there is nowhere else in the village. Dany was friendly and helpful.

Everything was fabulous - I really can’t fault it!

Such a beautiful property with the most amazing view of the mountains!! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Dany was great and helpful despite the language barrier.
