Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe breakfast was of a low standard with hot food, cold. No tea/coffee facilities in the room and the fridge didn't work too well.
Quite a good location and underground parking a bonus, keeping our car and contents safe. The reception staff were helpful and the pool a little gem.

United KingdomThe hotel was hosting a very large group who were having respite care. Although this was well managed it did make sitting around the pool quite a noisy experience.! It might have been useful to have known this at the time of booking.
I liked the location of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff.

United KingdomNo tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No usual brochure telling the facilities of the hotel in the room. No fire escape route information in the room.
The location is great. The quirky decor is intriguing. The breakfast is definitely value for money.

United StatesThe second, added building made the hotel a bit of a maze. We likely would have done spa, but it’s being closed Sunday and Monday pretty much precluded that, so travelers should know those closed days. The hotel is likely much better in summer than winter since the outdoor pools are not useful in winter.
We liked the location, the large, comfortable rooms and the excellent breakfasts. It’s a good choice, especially if one wants to do some spa service activities, or likes the value of having both a gym facility and an excellent buffet breakfast.

SpainWe had no hot water on the second night until 10pm as they had a big group in who used it all up.
The location is excellent for walking into Granada. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we were woken up early from noises in the Restaurant they moved us straight away to a quieter room.

United StatesThe room doors did not shut quietly. We could hear constant door closings from adjacent rooms during our stay. The bathroom had no racks to hang clothes or used towels. There was no fixture for toilet rolls. They were kept on the side of the bath tub. Night light was very dim, insufficient to walk to the toilet during the night without supplemental illumination. There were 2 large groups at the hotel who collectively were noisy late into the night. Hotel staff should enforce quietness so as not to disturb other patrons.
The staff was very helpful. Location was good.

Having a balcony to enjoy the evening breezes.Although we did not use the pool. We could see it was an attractive feature and very popular.

United KingdomThe road outside is a little busy at times but if the same hotel were in a quieter district, it would be double the price. Some of the furniture and fittings are not glisteningly new but the place is not run down like some reviews suggest. If this kind of thing really matters to you and you also want all the facilities on offer here, you will need to stay a much more expensive (and charmless) modern chain hotel.
Hotel Los Angeles has a 4-star rating, not because it is a luxury hotel but because of its facilities and services, which are very good. It is also not priced as a luxury hotel so it's value for money is excellent. The rooms are large, each with a generous balcony and are very comfortable, with good bathrooms. There is a little fridge in each room and the rooms are cleaned daily. The best facility is the pool area and the very reasonably priced cafe adjoining it. There are also some nice rooms for sitting inside which we didn't use as it was August and hot, so the pool area was most desirable. It is a short stroll to the centre of town and the area is pleasant. Whilst not super-friendly, the staff were professional and obliging. I liked the feeling that this is a fairly modest locally-owned hotel, rather than some international chain and while usually I steer away from modern architecture, there was something charming about the rather kitsch grandiose1970s building and interior. In all, with the right expectations, the hotel will not disappoint you.
