Reception was closed in the morning, even at 8 AM.

Comfortable bed, great location. Easy to catch the bus to Lagos de Covadonga and a reasonable walk to the Basilica. They allowed me to check in early too.

There was another option for dinner closer to where i was coming from. When i was walking back from where i did eat there were 2 road lights out that made me feel unsafe

Great shower! I left my bags and retrieving them was easy when i was ready to actually leave town. They were v helpful with figuring out the buses for leaving.

Shame for us that breakfast doesn’t start until 8am as we booked bus to lake for a hike at that time. Can hear people coming back in corridor but not a big problem. Shower door didn’t quite meet so some water escapes onto floor. Only bedside lights, so a little dark in bedroom

The bar and restaurant was completely closed for our whole stay. This is important as there is nowhere open in town after 5pm. Only restaurant is about a mile away, and that closed on one night. Also, be nice to have eggs available at breakfast

This is a recently refurbished hotel and rooms and breakfast are great. Small parking area. Very close to town and the attractions there. Very good value for money

I liked everything about the property especially given the price but above all its location, 5 minute walk from the Sanctuary and Basilica complex allowing for an early start to explore Covadonga before the main wave of visitors arrive. Brilliantly placed too for the short if complicated drive ( if traveling in your own car) up to the Picos de Europa and the lakes.

We chose to have breakfast in the morning and the female staff seemed less helpful almost as if we were too late at 9.40am. When breakfast finished at 10.30am.

We didn't spend much time in the room. The breakfast was very good. We had some difficulty connecting with the host to check in within the checkin time frame, but we walked around the area and returned and the host was able to check us in. Beds were comfortable and location was unbeatable. The hotel parking was very helpful since there is little parking in Covadonga.

Parking is limited to 6 cars, which is challenging if you have a big car...

Everything....rooms clean, comfortable with everything you need Breakfast great, fresh pastries, mini muffins were exceptional. Fresh orange juice, bread and cheese/ham Location next to Lakes bus stop, evening eating options limited to Pelayo Hotel a 5 minute walk away unless you drive into Cange Donis. Be aware that access to the lakes is limited to bus or taxi only.

Our flight was delayed and therefore keycard was left in lockbox, which wasn’t a problem. However we couldn’t find room so thought perhaps it was (these might not be correct room numbers) 101 not 111, so tried keycard, it opened door, but had other peoples belongings in, so left.called owner again and our room was in another part of hotel! The next morning my husband tried another room (guests had departed) and yes our keycard opened that too! So we did wonder if the hotel uses same keycard for every room. Not really ideal if this is the case. Also slightly disappointing bar wasn’t open.

It is one of the best hotels I've ever been. The location is very good to have trip to the lakes, the breakfast is exellent (hot meal, croissants, pies, cakes, cheese and meat, yogurts, fruits, good coffee). A nice place for rest after walking in the mountains. There are very comfortable beds in the room, a coffeemaker, a table and chairs. The stuff is friendly. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay!

Our host was very eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay. He carried some luggage upstairs to our room for us. He also advised on a webcam to be able to see the weather at the local lakes and also where to go for food in the evening. Extremely pleasant. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice ..and the best carrot cake we have ever tasted.

Only 40 minutes of free wi-fi (particularly disappointing as the most expensive property I had all week - which was fine as it was otherwise worth it, except the wi-fi).

Very clean and modern property in a great spot. Reception were very helpful and breakfast was magnificent! Felt slightly luxurious compared to what I'm used to.

Just a couple of details: the room was a bit dark to our taste, but since you don’t spend a lot time in, it didn’t really bother us. Also, breakfast is included but it is only available for one hour (from 8h30 to 9h30, I believe).

We have really enjoyed our stay at Rincón de Don Pelayo. It was the perfect spot to hike in Lagos the Covadonga and other treks nearby. The staff was very attentive and gave us great advice concerning the Lakes, where to eat, etc. As for the room, it was clean, quite big and new. The breakfast was varied and very good and there is a parking for customers, which is great in Covadonga, where finding a spot to park is almost impossible in high season.

What’s not to like? Room with a view, nice touches including coffee maker, good hairdryer, bottled water, biscuits, and nice towels. At an incredibly reasonable price! Really a great spot.

Lovely small family-run hotel in spectacularly scenic location a short walk from Covadonga’s Cueva Santa and Basilica. We arrived late at the end of a 6-day hiking trip and the hotelier was very gracious and helpful. Our favorite hotel during a week in Northern Span.
