How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The attached bar restaurant is no longer part of the hotel, and they don't like Brits, even if they speak Spanish ! Spanish people got tapas. I didn't ! I couldn't be bothered to say anything about it. I will use another bar further up the street. We have a choice where we spend our money. The Hotel is great for the price.
A great place for a stop over. Warm welcome. Spotlesslesly. Remodelled bathrooms and bedrooms. Great shower.

Not much to do or see in Baza but a great base to explore the Gorafe Desert & los montanas.
Nice hotel in this traditional working Spanish town. Carmen was very nice & I was able to put my bike in the garage to the rear. Petrol station next door & a few restaurants close by. Breakfast was available in the morning, coffee, tostadas, jugo de naranja type.

Ordered ox tail at the restaurant, took for ever and when it arrived it was cold, suspect it might have frozen.
Don't be put off by the exterior, this is a really good hotel, my room seemed to be recently renovated, clean and comfortable

The room was very noisy with flushing toilet and showers from other rooms and the doors need oiling as they were very squeaky.
It was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast in the bar was nice very quick service.

All good for what we require in an overnight stop
Location good, parking on site,staff polite, shower good, clean, and use a facilities, ie coffee making microwave outside tables to have a picnic

Staff in bar / restaurant were grumpy !
Owner is charming. Staff in bar / restaurant less so ! Spotlessly clean. I had a refurbed room which was brilliant.

Maybe provide more cloth hangers.
I booked this property for the location and facilities: proximity to my driving school and the room's small fridge. A kettle and microwave are also available in the corridor. Single rooms are spacious with a double bed, a big wardrobe a desk and good internet. Doña Carmen was very accommodating ( as I knew I would be arriving late she sent me instructions on how to check-in). The room and the bathroom were very clean and quiet. Across the street, you have a supermarket and within another five hundred meters you have two other supermarkets. The restaurant was very busy at dinner time with an extensive menu. There is plenty of parking in front of the Hostal and you are within a ten to fifteen-minute walk from the sites you may wish to visit and maybe a five-minute drive to the highway. I would stay here again for the location, facilities, reasonable price, and high level of customer attention.

Great value for money. Good sized room, comfy bed and good shower with plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly and helpful with great contact. We were a large group and they accommodated us really well. Restaurant is good too with fast and friendly service.

Nothing, you are paying for what you get.
Cheap and cheerful, clean and very good for stopping on route. Parking outside, and good basic food in the restaurant.

Minor niggle. Shower cubicle needs a little attention as starting to rust and leaks slightly.
Location very convenient for shops. Friendly and efficient staff. Great vale for money. Ideal overnight stop.

Very welcoming owner and her dogs! She kindly helped us with our bags upstairs as we thought there was a lift and stairs are a bit of a problem for us. Lovely size clean room Restaurant down stairs with good food
