It was difficult to park during the weekends

An amazing little hotel, we had a really good time! The owners kept the Andalusian style of the building, the patio is beautiful. The room was very clean and the staff extremely friendly. They helped us a lot during our stay with tips. The hotel is located in the center of Salobreña which allowed us to walk around and explore the town and the castle many times.

The owners are incredible helpful and kind, when we arrived they gave us lots of really nice recommendations, unfortunately I got food poisoning from something I ate before I arriving there and they really helped us when we most needed. They could even extend our stay by moving some rooms around so we could rest a bit more before we go the plane. I would highly recommend.

Great location. Welcoming knowledgeable hosts. Rooms were simple but everything you needed including a small fridge was in the room. We got great advice from Sebastian and Joanna on things to do, where to eat and how to get around. Parking is a bit of pot luck, but you will find something in the vicinity. Worth climbing up to the castle and certainly make sure to eat at La Pesetas or La Roka of an evening. The beach is less than 20 minutes walk away and easy to find.

Beautiful property in a super location. It was decorated in traditional Andalusian style and looked gorgeous. Really clean and comfortable beds.

A beautiful traditional Spanish courtyard hotel. Our room was very clean. The owners are very hospitable, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is 10mins from the bus station and 15mins to the beach. peaceful hotel, quiet town

If you're tall you might find the bed does not have enough length, it's a hostal so it's normal you hear the water running from a nearby room

Most charming, welcoming and helpful on-site owners whose advice made our brief stay exceptional. The property is very well located for easy walking access to everything of interest, including the fortress, beach, restaurants, grocery stores and various shops.The building has recently been tastefully updated and is most appealing and spotlessly clean. Our large room had all we needed: comfortable beds, spacious, large bathroom with 2 sinks, bright and cheery. Easy on-street parking.

At first I thought that the air conditioning unit was not very powerful, but I think the building is very efficient so you can have the air con on for a bit in the morning and the room will stay cool throughout the day anyway.

The staff were incredible, the owners were always available and happy to help even going as far as to personally show us where certain facilities in the town were. Location could not be much better, it was easy to find and close to all the key locations in the town.

Everything was excellent apart from some noise outside caused by builders in an adjacent street.

The location was very good near shops and bars. Overall, Hostal San Juan is very clean, and the room was bright and airy. Very nice bathroom with walk-in shower and 2 sinks. Would highly recommend.

Hostal San Juan is one of the nicest and most comfortable hotels I have stayed at in Spain. A beautifully restored house in traditional Andalusian style with lots of tiles and plants. The friendly owners made me feel welcome and were happy to answer any questions and offer information on local restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay there again.

We could have done with a couple of extra pillows but it wasn't a big deal

No bar or restaurant but it really didn't matter as there were plenty of places locally to eat and drink. Owners were very helpful and friendly
